“felt like a mental asylum”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 4 August 2010

this hotel might be one of the worst hotels to stay at in bodrum area, first of all if you are goign to bodrum city then you definitly should't stay in turkbuku village and bay. turkbuku is far away from bodrum city center (you need around 30 min to arrive to bodrum by car through the highway)
however we were planning to stay in turkbuku, the hotel Ev just wrecked our vacation for many reasons.
it is very very far from the beach and from everythign else.
the concept for this hotel is quietness (as described by one of the employees), so you have absolutly nothing to do.
other hotels were all fully booked but this one was empty! so we were stranded on a hill with only staff who didnt speak any english
everything is so white and of a very bad quality,
nobody is at any of the pools
breakfast is served on the large pool in the sun with a CD playing a song that feels like a woman weeping!
beach club is very far from the hotel and you can only go there till 12 afternoon! but you dont pay entry fees
however, all beach club dont charge any entry fee, so i advise takking a hotel ont he beach and using any beach club you want,.
the whole experience of stying at this hotel felt liek we are in a mental asylum, all in white, with no sounds or movement what so ever except dogs barkign at night and the weeping woman CD in the morning.
the staff are ok, and they had no problem not charging us for the 2nd night that was already booked, since we had to leave to stay in another hotel.
we ended up staying at mavi suites, which was very decent and in the middle of everything!

“pretty good, but one problem.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 27 July 2009

Rooms are great. View is gorgeous. Staff is helpful. Restaurant is okay-ish. Perfect for relaxation and privacy. The one problem I had was they promise their own private beach club, but they don't have one anymore. FYI: Turkbuku is a great place, but if you want to venture out, a taxi into Bodrum is about 70 Turkish Lira. Actually if you want to venture anywhere, you'll need a taxi or a car. Walking from the hotel is not an option.

“Avoid this place”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 7 July 2009

DO NOT CHOOSE THIS HOTEL. It is deceptively advertised. For the money, you should stay elsewhere - preferably, at the Marmara.

1) The hotel is poor quality, not designer, and like a dorm
2) The location is HELL AND GONE from Bodrum (it is in Turkbuku and is 30 minutes away from the town of Bodrum)
3) The staff barely speaks English and is not well-suited to help tourists
4) The price is OUTRAGEOUS for what you get ($275+) and you should spend the money on a legit hotel
5) There is no beach club access, contrary to what is advertised
6) Half of the swimming pools have no water
7) Basic things, like the room keys, do not work

Avoid at all costs. You can do MUCH better for the $$$. Fortunately, we were able to get a refund on the spot and stay at the Marmara, which was AWESOME!

“Beautiful SUMMER houses”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 13 January 2009

I stayed at EV with my husband in the first week of June. I would consider EV has more an apartment concept rather than a hotels, with a very well equiped kitchen.
The apartment buildings are simply beautiful, with a fabulous arquitecture and magical Turbuktu bay view. The weather was great but the beach club only opens from the 15th of June so we had access to Maçakizi beach club wich is very nice, very chic but too much snobish for our taste. Despite this beach club detail we really enjoyed the apartment, the balcony, the view, the swimming pool and the privacy.

“Superb hotel”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 17 December 2008

Having stayed at the Adam & Eve hotel in Belek in 2007, my girlfriend and I were curious to experience one of the other hotels designed by Turkish architect Eren Talu. Therefore we decided to try the EV Hotel. In the summer of 2008 we spent 10 nights at this hotel.

We really enjoyed our stay. The rooms are more like appartments, as they include a large kitchen. The bedroom is separated from the living room. Practically the entire interior is white and has many mirros. Each appartment has an enormous terrace and is equipped with three flat screen TVs (including one in the bathroom).

The EV hotel is a great place to chill and relax. The hotel is spectacularly located on the top of the hill with a view on Türkbükü bay, rather separated from the rest of the village. The hotel is clearly visible from any other location in Türkbükü. The hotel is built in a stairs like form, which allows for plenty of privacy for everyone. The disadvantage of this is that the route to the appartments higher up the hill can be a bit of a challenge as the pathway is very steep and covered with large stones.

The EV Hotel has several pools. We did try them, but since most of the time it was very windy on top of this hill, we preferred taking a dip in the Türkbükü bay, at the beach bar EV Hotel collaborates with, i.e. 34. Guests of EV Hotel do not have to pay an entrance fee for 34, but they do try to charge you for wanting to use the sun beds next to the water, which we found surprising, especially when you are paying about EUR 250 per night. After we ensured them, we would have drinks and food we need not pay for using the sun beds. 34 is groovy and well worth visiting.

We found the food at the hotel great, but relatively expensive (especially the drinks). This is also valid for beach club 34. We would recommend having dinner in one of the many waterfront restaurants of Türkbükü.

The biggest disadvantage of the hotel is the fact that practically none of the staff speaks a language other than Turkish (the same goes for 34). This makes communication quite difficult. The hotel management should ensure most of its staff speaks English, even though many guests are from Istanbul. The hotel draws both families and couples.

We were told that Türkbükü is a place which mainly draws many famous Turks. It definitely draws many chique yachts.

We probably stayed too long at this hotel, although we did enjoy the beautiful peninsula of Bodrum. Nevertheless we would recommend not staying any longer than one week. We also would advise renting a car. The west coast of Turkey is simply stunning.
