“Careful!”

Having booked the hotel through thomson on a package deal, we arrived at this hotel at 2.00a.m, only to find the hotel all in darkness. After spending one hour outside the hotel, the thomson bus driver finally got us into the hotel next door. (Cemre hotel). According to the thomson representative the hotel had just closed without informing the thomson company. Later found out Dutch guests also had the same problem, unfortunately they had booked the hotel from a web site and had no back up of a tour operator representative. For this alone i would say to anyone be careful on booking this hotel. The hotel is situated the farest point in the town of turgutreis, not as shown on the goole map, therefore anyone expecting to be close to the town would be looking to quite a walk. Yes nice along the sea front but no good at all for anyone with walking problems.

“worst hotel ever”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 30 September 2009

went with my husband and mum who is 80,we arrive 6am our room stunk of damp and mums light played up, in the morning we were facing a wall, lovey view ha,we asked to change but they said we had to pay £50,we had no choice, but they did this to most people to make money.there is no lift so my poor mum who has just had a hip done had to go up and down the stairs, these rooms were tiny and the filthy loo you could just about move in,in fact you could clean your teeth while sitting on the toilet.breakfast was only hard boiled eggs cheese and meat or cornflakes, bread but no toaster, and flies over everything, dinner was a few dishes of salad or what was under the silver dishes yuk, very rarely any potatoes always pasta or rice and they would not keep the lids on so it was always cold, the softdrinks dispensers were filthy and the hot and cold water tasted foul and sweet was always little tiny cakes or water melon never a change,no other fruit at all,the ony good thing was the soup, mostly hot, and there was no table cloths for any meals and they wiped the tables with filthy dishclothes and no cleaning spray ,your arms would stick to the tables ,the bar only had vodka or raki, red wine and beer and each day they ran out of one or other of them, the glasses were dirty too and they only had glasses for pool area and beach no plastic, the bar close at ten and they put the lights out straight away, you had to pay at the other bar .there is no entertainment whatsoever, there was no bus to go into town which was quite a walk,it was ten lira for a taxi every time which we always got to go back a mum was knacked.the ony good thing i can say is the waiters were as helpful as they could be under the circumstances.we would not have minded had we paid £200 like we have done before but this holiday cost just on £400 each, this was our 7th visit to turkey and never a hotel like this one. you have been warned.
