“Don't be put off by the bad reviews!”

My boyfriend and I booked this hotel after it was recommended as a last minute deal by First Choice.

It looked fantastic from the photos we were shown and the price was very reasonable considering it was all inclusive.

However after reading some very negative reviews I was quite worried! We arrived late at night but check in was very quick and we were taken down to our lovely room which was very spacious with plenty of storage space and a good sized bathroom! The furnishing is basic but stylish and very clean despite what previous people have said. I am quite fussy about where I stay but could see no fault with the room apart from the lack of plug sockets which could easily be sorted out with an multi socket adaptor.

Our room was situated next to the beautiful "quiet pool" which is adults only and next to the spa. This was a lovely place to stop at on your way or way back from the beach front or main pool.

Unless you are very unfit/elderly/disabled you will not have a problem with the hill! On our first day we were convinced we had missed a part of the hotel as we couldn't work out where this very steep hill everyone had complained about was! I appreciate that we are young and relatively fit but there are also buggies and a lift that will take you back to your room if not.

The main pool area is perfect for families and this seemed to be where most of them stayed however there were no screaming kids and everyone seemed to respect each other enough to not "save sunbeds" etc.

The jetty ont he beach front was were we spent most of our time as the views were stunning, the water very clear and the breeze made the heat more comfortable. The beach bar is perfect for light lunch and the odd drink in the afternoon (rude not to as its free!)

I had never been to an all inclusive resort before but we both found this to be a great option as the food in the main restaurant was great every night very fresh with plenty of salad options and local cuisine. The wine and beer (Efes) was all more than drinkable (we would know!) and we felt no need to have any of the cocktails not included in the price. The night we spent at the seafood restaurant was spectacular as our table was right by the water with a glass panel in the jetty looking down to the sea. The mongolian restaurant was also a good experience.

The staff were fantastic, from my experience the Turkish are always very friendly but its a case of if you are polite but still jokey with them you will get great service back.

Overall it was a very memorable, special holiday and sitting here on a very cold afternoon in January would return in a flash!

“An amazing holiday 5*!!”

My husband and I stayed for a week in June 2010, I have to say it was incredible! Our room was spacious and very clean and air conditioned at no extra cost, the maid came everyday and changed beds and towels, Pool towels included which is great not having to take with you!
Food varied (al la carte restaurant fantastic) and drinks plentiful.

Poolside always clean and sunbeds available and also on the sea decking too., with waiter service so you don’t even have to get up to get water or drinks etc.....
Beautiful surroundings, very restful, massages available in the on-site spa (we had Swedish massages they were great!). My husband also used the gym very quiet, clean and air conditioned

Staff very friendly, helpful and polite, always on hand to help. (they pick you up in a golf buggy and take you to your room with your bags and pick you up again). Hotel is on a hill but not hard to walk - there is a mini bus (golf buggy type) that does a shuttle and there is also a giant stair lift type thing if you really don’t want to walk.
Walked down to town a couple of times (15 mins) and caught the bus back for about 50p.

I would recommend to anyone looking for a fantastic holiday - We can’t wait to go back!

“Dont believe everything you read about this hotel!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 21 October 2010

I work for a Travel Agency and having booked this hotel for myself and partner I did have mixed feelings but then again every hotel I read a review on had mixed reports! All I can say especially to the last 2 reviews on here who obviously travelled the same time as me - are you sure you were in that hotel! I couldnt fault the service of any of the staff at all, they were all kind and efficient. I had already emailed the hotel and asked if posssible to have a room with a double bed and seaview and this was exactly what I got. As for the food not being fresh there were several chefs at all meal times cooking from scratch. As far as Im concerned thats fresh! Yes the property is built on a steep hil but then this is mentioned in the brochures and the reviews so noone can say they havent been told about it. Maybe the towels werent the highest quality egyptian cotton but again anyone going to this hotel knows they are provided and it does save you packing any yourself. My room was perfectly clean everyday and had shower gel, soap, shampoo and various other items in there ready for use. The maids were also very inventive with the towels and nightwear left on the bed which always made it interesting when returning to the room! As far as I was aware there was no waiter service, if you wanted a drink you went to the bar to get one very simple really and again the reviews saying its not all inclusive are very misleading. If you have local beers, wines, spirits, soft drinks, teas and coffees IT IS ALL INCLUSIVE. If you want something else like Budweiser or Smirnoff then no its not but then again thats standard at most all inclusive hotels. Ive read reports on the menu not being changed that often -how often is the menu changed in your favourite restaurant? If you went there every week for 6 months the menu would be the same so obviousy if your eating in the same place for 2 weeks 3 times a day you are going to come across the same meals. Personally I found that every night on my holiday there were different dishes to choose from, about 4 or 5 of them. I will agree that the decor is looking a little tired and a refurbishment is a good idea but this hotel has a lot of charm and character and is in a great location. If you want nothing more than to chill out and get a tan then its perfect, if you have children or are looking for a hotel with lots of activities and nightlife then its not for you but then again this is all written in the brochures so anyone complaining that theres nothing to do there obviously hasnt read it. Another review I read on here complained about the all inclusive facility finishing at midnight. This hotel serves food from 7 am and after coffee and juices with breakfast the bar opens at 10am serving drinks. Breakfast finishes at 11am then lunch is at 12.45. There is also a snack bar on the beach which serves well into the afternoon then after that its time for dinner. You are pretty much able to eat and drink between the hours of 7am and midnight so basically if you havent had enough its not the hotels fault! I will just say that if you are booked to go to this hotel then do go with an open mind, it is not as bad as these reviews say so just relax, chill out and enjoy yourself!

“No way it is a 4 Star !!!!”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 11 October 2010

Absolutely rubbish hotel. In our was plenty of spiders and shower curtain was dirty and damaged, I can see shoes marks on the bed, bathroom mats dirty, floor not sweept, stains on the cushions.
I called reception to ask for spring water 4 times.
Beach towels worn like rug, nobody cares about you, because this hotel will be shut down for 2 years - refurbishment.
Food disgusting not fresh. If you can smell that olives are not fresh - bad sign.
Pool bar - short story you are not on holidays they are!!!

“Never again, not even for free (and we're Dutch!)”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 10 October 2010

It's hard to believe people who highly rated this hotel went to the same hotel as we did. It rates itself a 5 star hotel, but that's highly optimistic: 3 stars would already be generous.

The rooms we're nicely decorated, once, but now they're a bit worn out. Faults like signs of water damage, curtain falling down when opening it, unidentified stains on the bathroom floor, a toilet seat that doesn't stand upright, a bowl that doesn't flush properly. Inconveniences like a lack of a table and chair, noise from passing cars/people, no internet at the room, tile floors.

The lounge/pool area is kind'a nice. But the wooden furniture on the photos is replaced by cheap plastic versions. No service whatsoever: I'm sitting in the lounge right now, almost for two hours, and nobody asked me for my order. I have to go to the bar to get it myself. Not very convenient, with a laptop at hand. Even though we booked an all-inclusive-extra arrangement, hardly anything is included. A beer or a cola are, but anything stronger is steeply priced. Wireless internet is available at the lounge, but uploading 1MB of photos is already taking 1 hour and it's still going. People over 16 years of age can use the iMacs installed in the lounge, if they are familiar with a Turkish keyboard layout. Facilities are present, but even the gym has to be paid for.

The staff is friendly in a way that they're not always ignoring you. They're not really trying to give you a good time or solve a problem. There's hardly any interaction.

There are no indoor facilities. If it's windy, there's not much you can do except sitting in your room (on the bed). The lounge, the better part of the restaurant, it's all in the open air without means to close it. If it's windy, it's just too cold to enjoy yourself.

The location has a nice view, but be prepared to climb a mountain each time you want to go to your room, hardly relaxing.
