“Great for young families”

Our first all inclusive hol, and generally very impressed. Staff very friendly, food & drink good. Massive choice form self-service buffet (hot & cold) each mealtime. Every day chefs did showcase cooking as well as the standard fare. Always kid-friendly familiar foods on offer, but ours enjoyed trying new things. Queues never a problem when we were there. Endless ice creams & slush drinks for the smalls as well as alcoholic drinks for us 2 available all day every day. Pancakes from beach hut not to be missed! Towels & sheets changed whenever needed by very helpful & smiley cleaner.
Beach very gritty and red-hot underfoot, so we didn't venture there much, You do need to be up to put your towels on sunbeds (ours always under a shady roof by kids' pool) not long after 7am, but I loved the chance to go for a swim without the littlies around! Only moan was prices in the only shop... 11 Euros for 4 postcards & stamps! I also heard that children going in for sweets with a note would come out without any change. Apart from that, we didn't pay for anything all week! How refreshing to put your wallet in the safe and not see it for a week! (Oh, except that we went on a day trip to Kos town. Lovely place.)
Highly recommended, so long as you know about the gritty beach, isolation of hotel (really in middle of nowhere!) and extortionate shop!!
We'd definitely go back.

Room Tip: 'Family Room'= bathroom, corridor, 2 massive bedrooms [1 super kingsize, 1 twin + balcony...

Bathrooms were clean, the room services was lovely, cleaned through and given new bedding and towels every day.
The pool was amazing, the kids pool was lovely, the beach was right on our door step, the all inclusive was fab. there was absolutly nothing i could fault about our holiday to Turkey.

“Great if you have small children”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 5 August 2011

The transfer is about an hour, the welcome and check in was efficient and quick.
The room was basic, very small portable tv in the room. Large kingsize bad with our son on a sofa bed. He said this was very hard and uncomfortable. Paper thin Walls so you can hear everything next door and above.
Cleaned minimally everyday, not well enough for a two week stay with 3 people sharing a room. Hairdryer in the bathroom and shampoo and shower gel provided.
The resort is clean and pleasant , the pool is large but so many sun beds it's really cramped.
The beach is where you will be if you're not up at 7 as all the beds saved by the pool by saddos
The beach is a bit stoney on entrance to the sea but is lovely and the sea is clear and warm.
The food was really good with lots of veg variety and salads but it was chicken nearly every day with the exception of turkey on one night.
The drinks are limited at the bar , you pay for some spirits and they have one daily cocktail included, usually gin based. No rum included. Take a kettle so you can make drinks in your room as you have to pay for this service if you want it when you get there. The safe is also charged at 15 euro a week. The old fashioned type with a key.
The resort is extremely child centric with so much entertainment for the children it's boring for anyone without. My 13 year old has no activities as it was either under 12 or adult. The kids stuff goes on and on till 915 at night by which time we had got bored and gone to bed.
A lot of kids running around making so much noise all the time. Don't go here if you want an adult relaxing chill.
The restaurant gets really busy by 715 and it's difficult to find a table amongst the screaming kids so go early.
I'd rate this as a 3 star hotel at most mostly because of the room standard and lack of drinks variety.
We did two trips , the Thomson sunsplash cruise which was ok but again lots and lots of kids , we werent allowed on the chill cruise as although our son is 13 and adult price is charged , only over 16 allowed on this one.
We also did the Thomson jeep safari. Not good value for money. 11 people in each jeep, very cramped . Very hot, not much off roading just basically driving around for hours. The turtle lake stop is a big puddle with turtles in it and the beach stop was at a really rocky bit of beach for 45 mins. Not fun. Too cramped and too boring.
We did have a nice time just avoid the Thomson dog and all involved with him.the staff are very friendly especially the beach bar guy who made a real effort to speak English and serve you quickly. Also go see pancake lady in the little hut near the beach for yummy pancakes .

Room Tip: Don't get a pool view room the entertainment goes on till midnight every night and is very loud

“Fantastic holiday”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 22 July 2011

Went on holiday with a friend for a week. Had a fantastic time!! Fab food - always loads of choice. Staff can't do enough for you. HAve been to turkey once before, and found it quite difficult trying to communicate with some of the staff but did not have this issue here. Although it's a family resort, the kids are kept entertained (and out of the way!) for most of the day. There is a 16+ pool as well so you don't get bothered. Only thing I would say is take bug spray if you spend time on the beach - I got bitten loads on first day. If you're looking for a party holiday, then this is not the place for you, as is very remote, however was great to relax. Would def go back again

Room Tip: The sea view rooms are closer to the club (12am-2am), so can be noisy at night

“Aimed at the younger family now under Thomson Family Resort”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 22 July 2011

Family holiday for four people, two adults and two children aged 17 and 14. Weather averaged at 37 degrees during day, and 28-29 at night with hotest day being 41 at peak and night 30.

Flight and transfer;
-Flight left on time and arrived slightly early.
-Transfer fine, about an hour as advertised, one drop off before and one after.
-Return flights actually left and arrived home early (sorry for those travelling elsewhere who had 2-4 hour delays)

Accommodation;
-Room (2 bedroom family room) clean but a little dated, very plainly decorated.
-Generally clean but again basic daily stuff, clean towels and beds made, bins emptied etc.
-Shower fine, provided gel and shampoo.
-Air conditioning provided, we had running all the time (use 'Do not Disturb' sign and insert where door key would go), it keeps cooler but not cold, around 24 degrees lowest in our rooms.

General site;
-Clean although one or two minor repairs needed to pathways and a couple of tiles around the pool area.
-Gardens maintained to reasonable standard, grass was cut shrubs looked after, some border planting had been 'lost' or destroyed by people walking through rather than sticking to paths.
-Pools clean and tidy.
-Area around pool continually cleared of cups, glasses, empty bottles by staff, always pleasant and polite.
-Found too crowded for our liking and also main pool source of most of days entertainment which can be a little draining after a few days.

Beach;
-mixture of course sand and what felt like grit. Not what I had imagined from other write ups. Also pebbles of about 1.5mtrs leading into the see.
-Plenty of sun loungers and cover, mixture of plastic type lonugers and wooded slatted ones with covers. The area under the awnings was good in the heat of the day and here the breeze was more noticable than round the pool.

Food and Drinks;
-Excellent albeit a bit same'ish by the end of the week, but fresh, clean and well cooked, didn't hang around long and become stale looking.
-Water readily available, as was local beer and wines. What you would expect from All Inclusive.

Facilities and Entertainment;
-Water slide okay but a bit of maintenance needed on stairway, after a couple of goes lost interest.
-Childrens areas looked fine but our girls 14 and 17 never used them (although they did fancy a bit of a play).
-Great for younger families but not for older teenagers
-Disappointed that Open Air Cinema not in use and that Thomsons have introduced a stage area around the pool, not sure but this looks like why the area around the main pool felt crowded.
-Evening entertainment very limited, the main reason for booking, (did this several months ago on write ups from here and Thomsons own site) was that we thought the evenings would be better suited for the girls, they would be happy swimming and sun bathing during the day so entertainment then was not a problem.

Location;
-Excepted that this was remote but even so nowhere reallly to have a stroll around out of the complex, a few roads only, if you want to go further afield you have to bus it or hire a car.

Overall I would say this holiday was more 3 to 4 star rating, with the actual food and service from all the staff lifting it to a four status.

Room Tip: All family room with 2 beds are gardsn facing, some have better views than others so ask actually wh...
