The hotel is only 45 – 50 minutes by coach from the airport. Ours was the first stop. There was a doctor on site and a small shopping mall consisting of photographer, leather shop, jewellery shop, small newsagents, diving centre and hairdressers.
Entertainment: Shows in amphitheatre every night at 10.00 pm, previous reviews left me with the impression that this was quite a distance from the main bar but it is relatively short in reality. Even though we stayed for two weeks I cannot comment on the shows as we did not see any, one day we seen them rehearsing and thought it looked good and heard other people saying some of the shows were enjoyable, we enjoyed sitting at the bar by the sea and just relaxing over a few drinks and enjoying the total relaxation. My partner made good use of the gym which also had a Spa centre which included an indoor swimming pool, sauna, massage etc.
The animation team had something on all day, but we spent our day between the Pruva Bar which was so relaxing overlooking the sea, you could imagine you were sitting on a yacht with the sails overhead protecting you from some of the suns rays. The sunbeds were wooden with good quality mattresses and you could always get a sunbed and we never seen anyone rushing out to hold over beds with their towels. Towels are also provided free. There were canoes and pedaloes free and waterski, banana boat, parachute etc had a charge.
Rooms; Small fridge in room and each day this was stocked with two bottles of water which were free of charge. Safe in room also free of charge. I read other reviews recommending the superior rooms which I would have loved and especially a view of the sea but at 10 euros extra per night per person this would have made our holiday too expensive. Air conditioning also free and operated by remote control; check this out when you arrive as the air con in our room decided to go to high temperatures during our first night but after a telephone call in the early hours to reception someone arrived at our door 10 – 15 mins later and then returned with a remote control and thankfully that was that sorted. Our room was basic but clean with a walk in shower and flat screen plasma on the wall. Toiletries such as soap and shampoo were refilled daily and towels changed as often as you needed with maid service daily.
Restaurants; with my partner being vegetarian we ate at the main restaurant for breakfast and evening meal and occasional lunch for the soups etc. but mostly lunches we ate in the Turkish Restaurant as this was overlooking the sea and did a fabulous selection of salads and fresh breaded fish, chicken kebabs, pasta and cheese, chips etc. There are four a la carte restaurants which need to be booked before 8.00 am on the day or can be booked in advance and from what I could see you could use as often as you wanted, there was enough of a selection for us and we never felt the need to try these out. For all inclusive the food was of a very good standard and there was always something you could pick that was enjoyable. They had an extensive variety of foods at each mealtime.
Pools; there is an aquapool with large slides for the children, infinity pool for adults and another two outdoor pool s; one which was for children. Short bus ride at entrance to Bodrum. Lobby reception area had free wi-fi, though if you had not have brought your own I am not sure if there was access otherwise to the internet. All in all we had a terrific and well rested holiday and will definitely be back some day.
