Booked through teletext for me and boyfriend late June for 10 days. i have never been to Turkey myself but my bf has been many times to Bodrum.
Our flight was awful had to stopover in croatia as someone 'got sick' on the plane so we were 2 hours late for our transfer which we obviously missed. We got to Bodrum and had to wait another hour to be picked up and I was in tears because of tiredness.
We finally got to the hotel which is a short 25 mins away from the airport. all i can say is WOW! I immediately felt better when when checked in, got a lovely glass of cold lime water and got checked in quickly by the pretty Turkish girl and our bags taken to our lovely room.
the hotel is surrounded by beautiful gardens and the rooms are old but very cleanly upheld. there are tennis courts and you can hire the bats as well as a little gym.
1) food was lovely every morning and night very big variety and very fresh (we went half board)
2)drinks at bar very expensive though but luckily we had our own alcohol
3)beach is a lovely 5 min walk where there are lots of bars and restuarants to relax in. We went out there a couple of nights which was lovely.
4)the Dolmus is very cheap and only a 9 min ride to bodrum markets and harbour and comes every 5 mins and runs until 5am in the morning so you can go out any time of the night.
5) staff very professional and friendly and chefs always good to chat to and made beautiful sculptures with watermelons.
6)pool and outside area very highly kept and very beautiful!
All in all it was a lovely trip and did not want to leave :( the good thing as well-as it is a little bit outside of Bodrum you dont get the annoying chavvy, loud british tourists and it is very relaxing. I also love that it is a half board hotel so you dont get the hustle and bustle at meal times. The staff was fantastic and made it a very enjoyable first experience in Turkey for me.
Only criticism is the expensive bar drinks but other than that it was perfect!!!! 100% will def go back there :)
