“Dont be a fool”

We stayed here for 2 weeks. When we got to the place the reception was nice. When we got to our room the hell brake loose, the room was behind the bar near the electricbooth. The room was dirty, with all sort of insects running around, mould on the shower and the bathroom wasnt cleaned in ages, beds sheets were smelly and the electrics didnt work so good. But we got a nicer room when we had a little fight with the reception an paid a little extra (100e). Room was above the reception. But then they said we needed to pay again extra coz the money was for only one week. We got into a settelment and paid lesser coz for the room we got had also issues. Pool was nice. And some of the staff did not speak english. Dont take this hotel if you want your stay to be easy and problem free.

“one of the worst hotels ever found in Bodrum”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 31 October 2011

I have stayed in Bodrum many many times and the surronding areas of Gumbet and Bitez too, so know the local standards, the owner Memhet is a greedy man and encourages staff to mislead customers, when I was there last they had some mad scheme whereby you bought tokens and exchanged them at the pool bar so no money was exchanged, a few lads there for a week did not hand their tokens in on time, so even though had paid up front for the overpriced drinks, (£10 for a large shot of Jack Daniels!) had a bar bill to pay too, their tokens were void according to the staff, ridiculous! my daughter went across to buy an icecream from the local shop and was told she could not eat it at the pool! Even though they did not sell these iccreams in the hotel, same with bottles of water, I pointed out I was staying self catering so was free to purchase what food and from where I wanted, but I did feel sorry for the staff asked to relay the messages. I have to say my room was clean, except for a problem with armies of ants, and on one occasion a massive cockroach scuttled in from the corridor outside the room! I also objected to knowing the kittens were taken away and destroyed, this area in Bodrum is over run by stray cats and one had given birth in the gardens, for days after staff removed the kittens, the mother cat could be heard crying day and night looking for her litter, that was sad and upset a lot of the children staying there. There are so many nicer places to stay, so dont pick the Delfi! For anyone picking Bodrum through a holiday company, bear in mind all the trip the reps try and sell you can be organised in town for so so much cheaper, in fact the rep boat trips are so overcrowded they border on unbearable. There is a cheap roadside cafe behind the Delfi that serves some of the cheapest and nicest food I ate in Turkey, all freshly cooked

Room Tip: avoid anywhere near the gym

I'm really surprised by all the other reviews. I stayed in the Delfi hotel in July 2011 and had a great time. The hotel looked great, staff were lovely And had overall had a very enjoyable experience. It was clean, all of our appliances worked well - we actually got a lot more than we expected for the money wehad paid!

“Be Careful they will try it on with the rooms from hell”

We have just got back from staying at this hotel. The hotel is in a great spot and has a good pool although i can not recall seeing it being cleaned during our stay . All i will say about the rooms are they are somewhere to sleep. Please note that they will try it on with you when you arrive and put you in a room from hell either above the hot gym with no windows and loud music pumping out or even worse the room they put us in was an old very very dirty appartment up some steps and above the main electricty box for the whole hotel lets just say if anything happened my family would be dead! The roof was made from chip board and when i pulled back the hanging down curtains i had a veiw of a brick wall. I felt sick knowing how much we had paid for this hoilday. Was moved to another room the next day and was able to enjoy the rest of our stay. Staff very nice around bar Kevin looked after us. The hotel has been done up on one side and the rooms are very nice but you will not be given these rooms unless you pay extra or book the Palm Rooms. Please note no english tour op use this hotel
