“Clean, friendly, good location, good value”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 28 January 2011

We stayed here for four days, on bed and breakfast basis. The hotel is low rise, with rooms in different blocks around a sort of courtyard garden. The rooms are basic but clean and serviced daily. The staff are very friendly and the Turkish breakfast in the small dining room was good - great coffee. The hotel is located right on the yacht marina opposite the yacht club wich is a good choice for an evening meal. There are also a few other cafes and restaurants in this area. The main tourist area is at the other end of the bay but it is only a ten minute walk away. The hotel is situated on a main road but we did not find the rooms to be noisy and got a good sleep.

“Boutique Hotel of Value”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 19 August 2010

The Seckin Konaklar Hotel is to be found at the 'right' end of town close to the marina entrance. It's quiet, comfortable, and 'user-friendly' from the moment you step into the foyer; our room was upgraded for the same price simply because there was a better one available. The staff were great!
Everything is squeaky clean, convenient, and private ... even the pool. Parking on the street can be a bit of an issue but there is a public car park just two minutes away behind an adjacent cafe - no problem!
We'd recommend the Seckin Konaklar to anyone who wants to experience a truly delightful Turkish boutique hotel of value.

“LOVED THIS ONE - GREAT LOCATION”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 23 July 2010

BEST LOCATION - right near marina, right on main strip, quiet

We asked for parking - everyday they helped me find some right in front of hotel - and this was in July. It appeared as if they were holding a spot for us......although I am sure that was not the case. Couldn't have been easier.

GREAT POOL GREAT BREAKFAST

Room was nice enough. The furniture was a bit dated and basic........it was fine. Nothing great. It was clean enough.

They did not speak much English.

“Quiet location, but difficult to park”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 10 April 2010

Up the western end of the town, near the yachting marina. The advantage is that the rooms are set well out the back of the hotel, so you do not get any noise from the road at all. Rooms are clean and comfortable and the breakfast is a simple array of the usual cheeses, olives, and jams plus yoghourt. Quite pricy (120 YTL per night for double room, March 2010), but I guess for Bodrum this is probably a reasonable rate for peace and quiet. You can also get Wi-Fi, but we found that the signal was a lot stronger in the reception area than in the room. The pool area is very pleasant.
Only problem is parking. We stayed in late March when things were pretty quiet and we managed to get a space in the street. You have to pay 5 YTL per night for this. If it was much busier then you would have serious trouble parking the car anywhere near, and once past the hotel, you would have to drive all through Bodrum again, because of the strict one way system.
Other reviews mention that there are signs saying that no food or drink (including bottled water) are allowed in the hotel and they are right – these are everywhere and only in English. Pretty pointless really, as you do not need to go through reception to enter the hotel area and it creates a feeling that is actually unjustified, as the staff could not be nicer.

We stay in Bodrum every winter and have done for 4 years now and found this family owned hotel and the staff a wonderful place to be and would never think of going anywhere else. The staff are so helpful and nothing is ever to much trouble. I would highly recommend this hotel, it is all round perfect.
