“Ok, but not more.”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 29 July 2011

Stayed three nights there with our teenage boys. We liked the location close to the marina, yet away from the party district of Bodrum. The boys enjoyed the pool. The Turkish breakfast was nice.
We had some misunderstanding regarding our room with extra bed and the price for that and were offered a studio that hadn't been renovated. Not so nice and definitely not worth the money. But we were tired after the trip and it was about 43 degrees hot when we checked-in so we didn't have any energy to look for another place.
When we visited, we only saw Turkish tourists at that hotel.
I guess we would have enjoyed our stay at Seckin Konaklar more if we would have received a better room (we booked a triple with extra bed, but as I mentioned that was not available).

“Nice small hotel with nice staff”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 26 July 2011

Location was great as it was on the Bodrum marina and as it was on the "wrong side" of the marina, it was much quieter. The other end is a 10-15 min walk so no big deal. Staff is great and very helpful. I like this hotel as it is a great value compared to the other high end hotels and has access to everything you might want in the area.

Breakfast is basic and the pool is rather quiet but everything is close by.

Rent a boat and get out to the Med and swim in the middle of the sea...that's what you really need to do...

“Right on the Marina, but Felt Uncrowded.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 22 July 2011

This is the last hotel on the waterfront. There is nothing fabulous, here. But it is reasonably priced, the staff is kind, the pool is delightful. If you have not been to Bodrum, you need to know that is is kind of a party town, crowded in summer. If you look at the map, like I did, and think that one side of the bay is a long way from the other -- that's not really trus. It is realtively compact. We had a nice time, apart from the heat.

“Great Location, facilities, staff and ambience”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 28 March 2011

This little gem is ideally located in the heart of Bodrum just across from the Marina along the seaside road where there are cafes, bars and good restaurants. Owned and operated by Galip and Meral Gur, this hotel has a family ambience about it. The staff have been with the hotel for many years, and there is a real sense of family support for the guests.

The Seckin Konaklar Hotel contains a cluster of buildings, each with suites and single rooms, surrounding a beautiful swimming pool. I stayed in a single room which was very comfortable, quiet and restful. The showers are hot and strong and the bed was comfortable. WiFi Internet service is provided free.

A Turkish / European style breakfast is offered as part of the overall price, and in the morning I was welcomed by Mehmet who greeted me with a smile and good coffee. Although it was too cool to swim, I look forward to the warmer months and hanging out at the swimming pool.

Less than 50 meters down the road, the Gur's also operate the Cafe Cafen, offering breakfast, lunch and dinner, and a variety of salads, pastas, sandwiches and main courses. You are likely to meet Galip and Meral there, socializing with locals and guests alike.

My stay a the Seckin Konaklar was excellent, and I look forward to my return there during my next visit to Bodrum.
