We had been travelling around Turkey and were quite fed up with the "average" hotels. I was frowny and glum. Finally we got to Patara and I investigated the entire village until I found this place. As soon as I met the owner I knew it was right.
It's a family run business and everything is provided for. Delicious abundant breakfasts are included and often we stayed for dinner, which was usually what the rest of the family were eating!
Thankfully, Patara isn't that touristy yet, but If everyone has an experience like ours it certainly will be soon. Some of the other guests have been returning for years!
The only downside is that it is right next to a Mosque, so at 4AM during Ramadan we had the morning prayers blasting in our ears. Once I couldn't get back to sleep!
We only intended on staying one night, but the food, beach and people were so nice that we spent the rest of our vacation there, we didn't even leave the village until our departure date.
I work in tourism and am VERY picky about where I stay. The Eucalyptus really impressed me and the prices are unbeatable. I was going to ask for a job there if we didn't leave when we did!
Also, the AC kept our room nice and cool during the August heat.

I found the Eucalyptus Pension by chance and have to say that it was the best find of my entire trip. The guests are treated like family and the owners, Ahmet and Nebahat are attentive, most welcoming, and ensure that your stay will be memorable for all the right reasons. The food is amazing! Nebahat is a fantastic cook. It's in the small details that make all the difference, the olives are from their own groves, home produced honey, locally sourced fresh ingredients. Breakfast made all the more special with traditional borek being served in addition to a selection of cheeses, bread, melon, tomatoes, cucumber, sausage and eggs. The pension is a great place to chill out, the ottoman area is shaded and open to cool breezes that wisp through the eucalyptus trees in the backdrop. I would highly recommend this pension to the discerning traveller that wants to meet interesting people in a comfortable setting.
