“Don't be fooled by the pictures!”

This has to be the worst hotel I have ever stayed in!

First room - No windows, no door to the toilet, stains on bed, couldn't turn the heating down so it was roasting hot, mold all over the shower.

Second room - Dirty nets on window (grey brown), stained curtains, roaches in bathroom and bedroom, rug in the room had food stuck in it, smelt of damp and wall next to the bed had dry root.

Restaurant - no cereal in the morning, food poor quality. Decided I'll have a coffee in the morning rather than food!

Maybe cheap, but throughly uncheerful....moved out after a couple of nights

Cheap, but not very cheerful

“In middle of CBD”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 13 January 2012

Situated on the main street in the business area. Has a lift to service the 8 floors of accomodation with free WiFi which did not work in my room but could access from the lounge area on the 2nd floor. I paid A$50.00;TL90; a night and would rate the hotel only a 2.5 star. An extensive European breakfast was included but the restaurant and bar for other meals were expensive. Cafes and restaurant and takeaway Donner Kabab shops are every outside the hotel.Arrived in Ankara by fast train from Istanbul and caught a taxi to the hotel, only about 7 minutes away. My room, a standard single, had mini bar, cable TV, air-conditioning and sat. tv but it and the bathroom were basic and not all that clean but still good value for an overnighter.

Room Tip: Rooms fronting the street give a good view and windows open for fresh air.

“Dirty, unsanitary, unfriendly staff, NIGHTMARE!”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 14 December 2011

We had a truly miserable experience at the Deniz Atlanta Hotel during our two-night stay in December 2011. We arrived and checked in on Thursday evening, asked for a map of the area and were told that the hotel didn't carry them (we ended up going to another hotel to get a map; sadly this was the least of our troubles). My fiancé and I arrived to a filthy room and bathroom with dark human hair on the pillowcases, feces rings lining the toilet (which had a broken toilet seat), dirt and crumbs on the floor near the bed, and a gross bathroom floor with dirt caked in the crevices. Not to mention the fact that the bathroom had exposed pipes everywhere, and there was no door for the room for the toilet. The coils from the bedsprings were protruding from the mattress and poking into my back the entire night. We had a window into the hallway that let in tons of light every time someone stepped in the hallway and the light sensor was activated. The minibar was completely empty too, and we needed bottled water because the tap water is unsafe to drink. The next day we discovered the shower had no hot water. We told the front desk and they did not care -- they said the shower would be fixed but it never was and we had to bathe at a local bathhouse as a result, at a cost of 35 lira each. We were never able to shower at the hotel throughout our entire stay; being able to shower before getting on the plane back home was the primary reason for our booking this hotel.

We realize that for €35/night we are not going to get, nor do we expect, luxurious accommodations. However, a clean room with a working shower is a bare minimum and not much to ask. We paid the same price (€35) at the Tulip House Hotel in Istanbul earlier in the week and our room and experience were terrific.

We took the attached pictures of the room before leaving. As you can see, the room we got was a far cry from the pictures posted on booking.com, which, aside from the breakfast/dining area, are completely misleading. When confronted with our complaints the hotel management was hostile and unapologetic.

Room Tip: Stay elsewhere!!!

“Truly Worth It!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 7 December 2011

The place is perfect, near to embassies and shops and restaurants. The staff are nice and kind. The Breakfast is really good. Rooms are clean and all in all it really price worthy.

Room Tip: Corner suites are large and sunny but more expensive

“Beware not a Family Hotel!!”

A friend who knew the location well recommended me this place. Yes it is good it is next to many attractions in Ankara and cheap But it is not suitable for families. The sink in the bathroom was sth like cracked and water was dripping to the floor. It wasn't very clean and walls are so thin that you can hear what is happening in the next room.

Room Tip: Don't choose economic room because it doesn't even have a window. I didn't stay in econo...
