“Could be better!”

This hotel is weirdly frustrating because it has potential but doesn't perform up to par.

Stay here 3-4x/month and so far, the only improvement carried out is that they FINALLY provide a little cut on the toothpaste plastic tubes so I won't have to rip them off with my teeth.

I'd say OK - inspite of the shower that doesn't have a middle temperature, the maddening wifi, the aircon filters that need cleaning, the staff that only knows how to say hello sir but not hello ma'am and the guard that warned me that my car might get robbed, worse, stolen in the hotel parking lot if I don't bring my "valuable" items (peeking in the backseat while he was at it) -- errr... GUARD?

Thank God for the front desk manager Cindy who always manages to be convivial and appeasing, the stay ends up becoming decent.

Location is near Tomas Morato avenue and Timog Avenue where a lot of restaurants and bars are. It's also near St. Luke's Hospital, Quezon Memorial Circle and the University of the Philippines. Not much of a view inspite of the proximity to the aforementioned places but rooms spacious and clean with comfortable beds. Breakfast very basic - nothing special. Overall service needs a bit of a jolt.

It was my first time at Triplace Hotel in QC, I find the reception quite accommodating and respectful..

I wasn't able to connect thru their wifi, informed the reception and then there comes their I.T. personnel.. It was my fault that i can't connect because i havent asked for an account/password whatever you may call it.

nevertheless, they provide one and i spent the whole evening browsing the net.

“Lots that can be improved.”

I checked in recently and this is what I experienced.

(1) I could not get dinner because the kitchen staff walked out at 8pm to celebrate their own festive events.
(2) The WiFi did not work, and it took THREE telephone calls, and ONE hour later the lady turned up. She claimed its work, but failed to get my laptop to log in to their WiFi.
(3) Breakfast was in a nice room, with TWO plasma TVs, each showing different channels, and both were loud. We could not listen to either channel as they interfere with each other.
(4) Staff at breakfast were fairly good, but talking and chatting to each other most of the time. I suppose this is how Filipinos work when the boss is not around.
(5) Constant and loud construction noise, from 7am onwards.

“Quite Okay but Needs Improvement”

The good things-
1-excellent location-corner of E.Rodriguez and tomas Morato. So many good restos along Tomas Morato or Timog Avenue (a bit farther but worth it).Malls are quite close by too-Trinoma and SM North Edsa is close by;try the relaxing jazz cafe in Stone House (walking distance after the petrol station);cabs can be hailed easily at any time of the day.
2-roomy,clean & spacious
3-friendly staff
4-there was the ongoing 3+1 promo=you pay for 3 nights and you stay the 4th night for free (beware though-only available if you pay from manila;this is NOT applicable to online reservations! I did this mistake);don't know if it's still in offer right now.
The not so good things:
1-they were still in the process of finishing the top floors at that time so there were construction noises
2-the elevator was constantly broken
3-food was so-so in the breakfast provided (not very important to us as we often ate elsewhere)
4-the showers were either very hot or very cold! nothign in the middle

“My Second Home in Metro Manila”

It was good to be back at Tri-Place Hotel Quezon City. I checked in on June 11th and checked out on June 20th, but returned late evening on June 20th after my flight was aborted.

The front office, restaurant, and housekeeping staff and the security officers have always been nice, friendly, accommodating, and courteous to me. I have to mention the names of waiters, Rusty and Edgar, whose unusually excellent service is commendable.

French, young guy from the housekeeping department, is very helpful. I do not know if it is real or scripted. However, I always appreciate the guy's excellent service.

Cindy and Daryl, the regular personnel seen in the front office, are always accommodating and would find ways to address my concer.

Even the security officers are helpful. But there was one security guard who declined my tip of 100 Pesos for flagging down a cab, which refusal stunned me. I was just thanking and commending him.

During my stay, there was a major renovation in the hotel premises but I was still able to sleep comfortably.
