“A little old but still nice”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 5 July 2010

My husband and three-year-old son stayed in one of the bayside rooms on the sixth floor. The room was in order and looked clean. I was disappointed because they didn't provide toothbrushes, toothpaste, and shampoo. Only 2 soaps were provided. For the price of 3500/night it was OK considering it's accessible to Roxas Blvd and landmarks such as the Manila Zoo (for my kid) and CCP.

A plus was the receptionist told me that he'll give me a discount on our next stay. They have these index cars where you write your info so I guess, that's their way of tracking visits and possibly, a discount.

“Nice hotel, great location”

Good hotel in a great location. Make sure to get the 5th or 6th floor only. The other floors are in poor shape.

“No problems whatsoever”

I stayed at the Aloha for three nights in July 2007 and had no real problems. We stayed on the side of the hotel facing Manila bay, top floor, breathtaking view of the sunset. The TV and A/C remote were in the room and both worked just fine. The staff was courteous, friendly and respectful. The only negative I can think of is that a city official would come and charge us about 20 pesos for parking a rental car out in front of the hotel each day.

“Surprisingly An Awesome Stay at Aloha Hotel”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 12 November 2007

After a long week trip from Boracay, we decided to spend another week in Manila before flying back to Hong Kong. I spent almost half-day making oculars in different hotels along bayside. Among the many 3/4 star hotels that I've been through, Aloha hotel beat the others in terms of staff service, room coziness, convenient location and above all - budget friendly for the whole family. Traveling in & out of Mall of Asia was as comfortably easy as riding on a Calesa in Chinatown. Although there are newly renovated carpeted rooms on the top floors, we chose the non-carpeted room on the lower floors as we prefer shiny wooden flooring - perfect for kids like ours who are rather allergic to carpets. Staying in one of the bayview rooms in Aloha hotel is as spectacular as in Hyatt hotel & Casino where we stayed for 2 days before going to Boracay. I was just lucky to have the chance to actually look, see and feel the difference first hand before deciding where to stay.
For people who would want their money's worth, do check this hotel out before venturing to a more expensive and commercialized ones. You'll be glad you did!

“Stay away from a Not so Aloha hotel”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 12 June 2007

I checked in this hotel 1 day before my actual reservation. i stayed there 1 yr before for 1800 peso taxes included. The hotel is Not the cleanest , But i figured that since i was leaving early the next day and the hotel is close to the airport, i really didnt care.

Fast forward to this yr. and i was told the price has increased becuase they have completed renovations. WHAT RENOVATIONS ??!!!!!. I was given the same dirty room as last year with a price of 2300peso!!!!!!. The Air con. came off each time you leave the room with the card key. No Refrigerator. The chairs caved in when i sat down. While brushing my teeth. the water came up from the drain. The shower head has a mind of its own. the water pressure is to "die " for ...NOT !!!!!. The shower carpet was molded up so bad, i took it out and took my chances slipping !!!!.

While taking a crap, i could hear the rat in the ceiling have 100m wind sprints , the Air con is noisy and dont cool the room for nothing.

The next day i was given a room on their high (6th Floor). This room faced Manila Bay. I must say it was a much better room. Paid 2800 peso for it. But, The hallway was buzzing with extensive , noisy repairs, painting of the walls and warnings like:
" don't put hand on piant" what is a "piant". while using the computer in their business room, i had to move becuase the staff kept looking over my shoulder. The staff have a real disease called "eating to much parrot's ass". because they talk too friggin much. One guy was talking about "BanGBus" and told another worker to i quote" get the [---] here". This was done in no regards to me being a guest.. This hotel i must say have a very good location if you like listen to some live music at the seaside. Unfortunately they have a problem with service, respect, and accomadations. I would highly recommend shelling out a few more buck and check in next door to the "G" hotel, it was just simply immaculate.

ever again at "aloha" geez that is an insult to the hawaiian language, naming this hotel as such. Nothing "Aloha " about this place

Peace
