“A Damn Good Deal!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 19 January 2012

Quite simply, I think one would have to try quite hard to find a better deal in Manila. This is not a 5* establishment by any stretch, but unlike many such hotels, this place has charm, harkening back to a Manila age long since past (other than this hotel, there is the cafe on Remedios Circle and that's about it). For what you are paying (1650 pesos in 2010), it's a steal. The reception and room service staff are consistently pleasant and helpful. Of particular value to travelers, the reception staff often excellent assistance in deciphering the country's byzantine intercity bus network, the complexity of which could otherwise strand one in Manila for weeks upon end. Malate is not everyone's cup of tea (and particularly not recommended for families), with the neighborhood seeming to go deeper into the doo-doo every year, but ultimately it's a good as any in terms of an entry point to the Philippines and, if you are headed there, you could do a lot worse than head to the Arms of Adriatico.

Room Tip: Get a room on the north side, away from the road, and preferably on the third floor. The road is noi...

“Good deal, freindly and safe.”

This place is a good location, especially in Malate with many nearby amenities ie. ATM, 7Eleven, bars, restaurants, hairdressers, massage (nice ones with no boom boom) and Robinson Mall is 5 mins walk away. Also not far from Southern bus terminal. Never ate in the restaurant here but hear it is quite good. Nice traditional Spanish marble architecture.

Rooms are not the most recently renovated but still comfortable with Aricon, TV and shower. Check the room first. Can pay on credit card also and never had a problem with them. Done it three times now. 24hour security guard also is very helpful and nice.

so all round good value for money compared to other local places but the rooms do leave a little to be desired, if new and modern is your style. Owner is very nice and helpful also.

Room Tip: just compare a couple of rooms first.

“Excellent location, good service but the rooms itself disappointment”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 17 October 2011

We stayed here one night and ended up chosing this place based on the writings in Lonelyplanet where it was describes as a boutique hotel w/ surprisingly low rates with snazzy rooms. The rate of the room was okay as was the location but the room we had was not good at all. The a/c was not working, the room smelled incredibly bad (damp) and as there are no proper windows you could hear a dog barking as well as the sounds of traffic throghout the night. The rooms are also somewhat worn-out. The hallways looked okay and the staff was polite. No safety in the rooms.

I know this is a budget hotel but for the reviews written I was expecting a little more and was unfortunately dissappointed. Could be that there are different kind of rooms and we just happened to get an outdated version?

Room Tip: I would request a room not facing the street.

“Best budget option in Manila”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 10 May 2011

We stayed in this hotel for one night. It has excellent location in Malate close to many restaurants and bars and east walk to the park. The hotel is clean and welcoming. Since Manila is often considered not a nice place to travel in, Adriatico Arms Hotel makes you see things otherwise. You can get a cheaper room in Manila but for a double room this is the best value you get (we tried other places as well).

“Best kept secret in Malate”

I've stayed in this hotel everytime I'm in Manila. The rooms are decent, clean and ambiance is relaxing. There's a Parisian style coffee shop at the lobby where you can also order room service. Food is excellent especially the Grilled pork chop.
