This was our first stop off point in the Seychelles as part of our Honeymoon and was one of our favourite hotels. We stayed here for two nights. The staff were friendly and the traditional food serverd in the restaurant was excellent and reasonably priced (Main course from €10). Drinks were a little more pricey than in the UK, though this is normal for hotels in the Seychelles. Breakfast was simple but delicious with fresh fruits and juices, pancakes, cereals and bread.
The hotel never seemed to be busy and had such a peacful ambience. The restaurant built into the established gardens meant you could share your meals with nature which added to the atmosphere. We enjoyed watching the skink lizards on the roof, and the occasional ant that walked across our table.
The room was a large size, well furnished with a bath and private outdoor shower. The views from the chalet balcony over Anse A La Mouche were magnificent and it was lovely to open the curtains each morning. The price to pay for the views is a steep climb up to the hotel (we had a hire car so this was not a problem and well worth it to explore Mahe) and a 15min steep walk to the nearest beach.
This hotel was quiet in the evenings but we both had books. TV in the seychelles has only 2 channels unless at bigger hotels. It provided an ideal base to explore the South of Mahe and was a lovely start to our honeymoon.
