I was in hotel this year with my family exactly when break out fire in kitchen. We remain 3 days without electricity. It was not pleasant, but it was nothing in compare with no free wi-fi access to internet. Hotel of this reputation shold have free access to internet at least for their guests. But at last of all, hotel and staff are very, very friendly and I will never hesitate to come again next year. Every year visitor.

We were lucky enough to be in one of the renovated rooms. There was some noise from the hall because the floors are tile and echo. We enjoyed a lovely dinner of pizza and pasta in the open air restaurant overlooking the beach, very reasonably priced. The service in the restaurant and hotel itself was efficient and friendly. Yes, we had to wait to check in after a very early arrival but there was coffee, and we could wander the grounds. The buffet breakfast had a large variety of offerings.There is a grocery store within walking distance of the main entrance and a fridge in the room. Hotels are not cheap on Mahe but this one was a good value.

I stayed in this hotel in december 2011 for a weekend. I would rate it 3.5/5. The hotel is very well located in Mahe Island in a beautiful bay, plenty of nature and golden sand, just to relax. The hotel was ok for most of the things, but it just looks like it's falling apart. The staff was friendly and polite all the time and the check in and check out was smooth and easy, room service staff also very polite. The hotel doesn't have a lift although it's only 3 stories high, but the staircase looks terrible, like the service stairs in a hospital. The corridors look ok, typical from island style buildings, and the bedrooms are also ok but a bit gloomy (specially the shower in the bathroom). The water pressure was a problem sometimes, but maybe it's a problem in the water system of the island. The room had all the facilities and amenities needed, comfortable bed, air conditioner, tv with some international channels, big wardrobe and a good view. In general it was clean, some items (furniture) looked worn. The food from room service was good but not awesome. I felt it was overpriced, but it was ok for a weekend.

At BV during March my family (hubby and 2 kids under 6) did nothing, nothing and more nothing. It was glorious. What more could you ask for? Breathtaking sun rises; sumptuous breakfast offerings; soft, warm sand in between your toes; varying degrees of blue-green turquoise ocean waters; spontaneous, yet welcomed, bursts of warm afternoon thunder showers to relieve the intense humidity; friendly staff / patrons; beautiful island accommodation in perfect natural settings and last but not least the awesomest (sp) Seychelles sunsets Aaaahhhhhhhhhhhh :) My fondest memory was swimming in the ocean beneath a canopy of clouds releasing soft droplets of rain. We would swim for hours (literally) *Sigh*
