Hubby and I stayed here 1 night because our flight arrived late and the seaplane only operate during the day. The good point about this hotel is the location. It's just 5 minutes walk from the jetty. It's a clean room with functioning hot shower and aircond.

Great location right off jetty from Airport, close to the sea, taxis and only beach in Male'.
Best business hotel for the price.

The first thing you'll notice about Mookai is that..well, you can literally see it from anywhere! I mean it. When we took the ferry from the airport(an amazing experience in itself), it was almost really relieveing to see that the hotel building it clearly visible from it. I think it took the three of us about 60 steps from the ferry drop point to reach the entrance of Mookai.
So, we settle in one of the rooms, which is furnished very tastefully with all the ornate yet sturdy furniture. We almost expected a room with a sea view, but realised that any room above the 5th floor is sure to give you that, because of the picturesquely tiny size of the island :) Room service is prompt, and this hospoitality is common even at the tiny corner cafe in Male, a very comforting point for all tourists. In Mookai, don't judge the hotel by its size, you'll realise soon that it is one of the most well structured buildings, and has made use of space and trechnology very efficiently.
What my parents loved about Mookai was, well everything. The rooftop swimming pool, the jacuzi, the sauna and the gym usage is complimentary, so make sure you make the most of it. Every window you look out of has something to admire, and no matter which room you get, there are common lounges on every floor to give you that "breathtaking" view. And to really sweeten the deal, you get wi-fi to mail all these amazing photos back home!

I stayed in Mookai Hotel during one of my visits to Male, Maldives.

The hotel is just in the center of the Male City and is just 5 minutes walking distance from the Jetty.

The hotel staff is very helpful. The room service in the hotel is also good. Not very exiting but you got many other choices in the surroundings, so this is not a big deal.

The room rate is also very good to your pocket...I stayed there for 1 week and had no issues.. Rooms are also decent with all basic amenities..

Would recommend this hotel in male if you are for business travel and want to look for something in good budget.
