Hotel located far from airport jetty and located within the inner lanes, out from main road of the city is hard to find for the first timer. Teksi is suggested in order to go to this hotel for tourist with big luggage.

Lift light is not bright enough. Room look clean with new cupboard and plasma tv. However the toilet is very small, not very clean and hard to shower.

However the receptionist are friendly to talk to.

For me, it is just worth for the $ paid and one night stay.

We stayed here only for one night, we were greeted with the bell boy, we got the wet towel to refresh ourselves and welcome drink. When we arrived with our luggages the manager/ owner himself help us to carry and put it in our room. However, It will take more than 30 minutes for 2 small bottles of water and we did not get the seaview as mention in the web. The safe and cool water tap does not work, the fridge is a little dirty. Just need a little small touch, it will be perfect.

The Hotel Fresco is good value for the price, with clean, spartan rooms highlighted by a plasma tv, and friendly staff.

Two cautions:
1) The hotel is a taxi ride from the main dock although that said, the cost of the taxi is only $2 if you are able to find one.
2) When I checked out, the front desk clerk attempted to charge me double the rate I'd been quoted on the Internet. I'm uncertain as to whether this is standard practice or an honest mistake.

Got back from The Maldives on Monday, we stayed 2 nights at Hotel Fresco.

The rooms are TINY, but all brand new quite trendy and very clean, plasma TV's on the wall, pleasant enough for a couple of nights.

We didnt eat in the restaurant so can not comment.

The hotel is pretty central to everything too, not that Male is big enough to be to far away from anything!!
