Too far from monorail station. Good and clean room but small.
Even though the renovation was in progress ,For a small sum of ringgit you could get a very nice bed and pillow, almost 5 star!. The room was so clean, although a bit smaller. You can just forget the size since everything was good. The bathroom was good.
Just drop in to Tune Hotel Downtown after 1 year not in KL. It's room just renovate and still on going. Room has been upgrade in new look ,paint and bed and etc. It looks nice and neat, the space is a bit small but just enough for 2 person. The fan is in the package. Extra thing you need like TV, Wifi and Air-con need to be pay. Is a good location as it's near to Monorail station about 5 mins walk and able to move around to Bukit Bintang, KL Sentral to MidValley and etc with additional of cost. It's even able for us to go to Genting Highland at Bas station at TiTiwangsa just less then RM 6 bus fare to reach First World Hotel. Is a good place to stay if do not complain on the room size. Hope they will keep up the good low price all year round so that more people effort to stay in KL for a holiday.
We had booked a room in conjunction with Air Asia flights that we booked to Phuket for July 2012. Air Asia then cancelled their flights from Chch New Zealand and gave us a refund. We then cancelled the room we had booked at this hotel in conjunction with this flight, which they told us would take 30 days to process. After 30 days we checked the web-site and were showing a credit on our account - when requesting it to be refunded we were advised that this hotel has no refund policy. BE AWARE.....The booking was not until the 17th July 2012, so I am sure they will be re-booking the room and getting paid twice for one night at the very minimum. We think this is a despicable practice and will never book Tune Hotels again.
One main features of Tune Hotels Downtown KL is proximity to main shopping areas though it was a little bit distant from upmarket Bukit Bintang. However it's close proximity to the monorail station which took around 10 minutes to Bukit Bintang has seal the fate of Tune Hotels Downtown KL as 'easy and accessible'. The room itself was worth the money paid and though I was given a corner room which I love due to the views and on coming sunlight...it was a wonderful stay. The front office and security staff are well mannered and assist you at any hour of the day.
