Stayed in Anjung KL with a group of friends. We arrived very early in the morning around 5am and the staff (Anderson) was kind enough to let us check in early, rest and freshen up. Staff was also helpful with directions, arranging for transportation to Berjaya Hills-Colmar Tropicale and Batu Caves. Another staff (Florence) also offered to show us were to buy souvenirs and foodstuff but we got back to the guesthouse quite late in the evening already, so it was cancelled.
We got 2 rooms both in the ground floor. They are clean, A/C has remote so we just regulated the temperature so it won't get too cold. Shared bathrooms are clean. Free Wi-Fi.
Cons:
1. During our stay, there was a permeating smell like that of a dead rat near the hand wash area. But since we were out the whole day it wasn't much of a bother.
2. Since we stayed in the ground floor, we can hear water passing through the pipes from the users on the upper floor. Disrupts sleep.
3. Guests have to leave their footwear outside. This is probably in line with Malay culture. If one is not used to this (as we are) then it could be bothersome. But then as they say, "When in Rome, be a Roman", the same goes if one travels to Malaysia. Be prepared for the country's culture.
4. One might get caught in the traffic jam in the area on evenings on weekends as there are bars and restaurants up the hill from Anjung KL. But if the nightlife is your thing, then this is the place for you.
