“Good hotel”

The Prescott Inn is a good value hotel. The reception staff are really helpful - from giving directions to recommending where to buy a phone sim card, through to printing out train tickets - they are always happy to assist.

The rooms are clean and smart - if in need of a little sprucing up design-wise. Wifi is free and although not the fastest connection it's reliable and always on. Free terminals are available in reception for those without a laptop. Rooms have air-con but you can open the windows too for some real fresh air.

The location of the hotel is perfect with the monorail station just 2 minutes down the road and the fantastic restaurants of Little India just ten minutes' walk away. There are also plenty of cheap local places to eat - 10Rm will get you a good meal and a drink.

Free breakfast is okay. Omelette is decent, but sausages are best avoided. Coffee is of the tip-loads-of-sugar-in-to-compensate-for-lack-of-flavour variety.

All-in-all, a good hotel that I'd recommend for those who don't want to spend too much but want to stay central in a decent, clean, helpful place.

My wife and i stayed in this hotel for 4 nights.clean ,good food and very friendly and helpful staff.regards to KC who even went to the bother of doing our online check in for onward flight to Perth.Hotel located on Quiet street, very central.only 4 min walk to mono rail.all city attractions available through very efficient public transport system (back to hotel) very comfortable beds full aircon with nice view from rear of KL TOWER. We would highly recommend this hotel for value, food, location and most of all friendly and courteous staff.all the big shopping centres are close by,some only a 5 min walk away.hope to call again next time we are in Kuala Lumpur.

“Has everything you need”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 27 January 2012

If your after a cheap hotel that is clean, well serviced, with helpful staff, and perfectly located near one of KL's best night clubbing strips then this is the spot. This was my second stay at Prescott and I was pleasantly surprised to see that the lobby and restaurant has recently been refurnished.

I think I would always stay here when visiting KL on a budget, it is cheap, and only a 5 minute walk to the monorail which can take and connect you to anywhere in the city, including the airport.

Room Tip: ask for a high up room with a view of the sherataon as on some weekends there are many car hoons lat...

“Average fine stay”

Pros:

We stayed in Prescott Inn for 3 nights and booked 3 rooms. Its a good comfort hotel.
Each of the rooms had two huge double beds which is the best plus point for this hotel.
The hotel is easily accessible from the mono-rail station.
If you are looking for cheap shopping away from the petaling street crowd, there is a Haniffa and Mydin nearby (15 mts walk) which would yield you everything you need.

Cons:
Having travelled with staunch(Indian) vegetarian elders , it was difficult initally to located good veg restaurants nearby. The hotel people could nt guide us to locate the restaurants.
The cafe at the hotel lobby does a very slow service. We were staying in the 9th floor and when we ordered coffee , by the time it came to our rooms it was stone cold.
When we explained that to the cafe waitress and asked her to make the coffee extra hot, she said since the coffee is travelling 9 floors, it would get definitely get cold.
Every time i had to get my parents 9 floors down to have a cup of coffee. :(

Room Tip: If you want the good view of the petronas towers from the rooms, you can ask for and you would be gi...

“Pleasant, well situated, good value accommodation”

We stayed at the Prescott Inn for the first three nights of our trip to south-east Asia. Our room (506) was quiet and spacious with a comfortable double bed. We asked for extra pillows and these were delivered within a few minutes. We enjoyed the complimentary tea, coffee and bottled water which was replenished daily. Included in the already good value price (we paid around 130 MYR per night) was a hot breakfast each morning in the ground floor Tazza cafeteria, which was most acceptable. There were only a limited number of channels on the flat-screen TV, but as we were out sight-seeing most of the time, it wasn't a problem. The only down side was that on our second night there was no hot water for showering, due to a maintenance problem, but this was fixed for final night. The hotel is about a 300 metre walk from the Medan Tuanku monorail station, which makes getting around Kuala Lumpur very easy indeed. We had access to free wifi in our room - so all-in-all a pleasant experience indeed.
