We went there because it's a "must-do" in KL. The trip is quite long, the train from Sentral runs at a very slow speed but it is comfortable and cheap so I guess you cannot have everything. :-) There's a bit too much litter around, it seems nobody cares and they just throw stuff on the ground. The temples are normal indian temples, however the big statue is quite impressive. Went up the stairs, an easy climb. As everybody says, watch out for the monkeys as they steal everything they can. I suggest buying your souvenirs on the ground and on the way back not when you are climbing. We also entered the Dark Caves, a bit expensive (35RM) but we did it mostly to support the research going on. I've seen more impressive caves but if you have the time, do take a tour, it is interesting.
