We were staying in this hotel with a group of 10 people just for a short trip to KL.
Positive points: Spacious rooms, great breakfast (huge buffet!) plus we got an upgrade for free to the best possible room with balcony (with a great view on the skyline of KL)

Negative points: A bit far from all the attractions (30minutes by train), surroundings are not that nice. Pool already closes at 8pm! And most important: don't book any trip with the agency in the hotel-lobby.. We booked a trip to the batu caves including visits of some random places, e.g. a tin factory and a chocolate factory (where they try to sell you stuff, of course). Some of the places included in the price were closed due to Chinese New Year but the agency refused to give us any refund.

To sum things up, the Sunway Putra Hotel is a nice place to stay in KL and has the amenities of a 5 (malayan) stars hotel for a reasonael price. Would stay there again!

The hotel is very good (room perfect, good failities) but we were very disapointed with the reception. They spoke with a strong accent what is not a problem at all but when we asked to repeat, they did not tryning to make an effort. We had the feeling to annoy them when we came to check in.
So hotel very good, staff very average.

I chose this hotel after looking at the reviews but was not very happy. The hotel is a 5 star property. Very big building but the service is slow. amenities are not 5 star. Yes the Pool is nice and beautiful but it has sudden depth which is not explained near the pool so be careful. Location is good. you have a small shopping mall in same building. Some coffee shops. It was an average hotel for me.

We are a family of 4. We requested interconnecting rooms and received them. Room 1 was super spacious with separate lounge area, big bathroom etc. Room 2 was considerably smaller, but perfect for the kids. Both had outstanding views of Petronas Towers. To nit pick, the rooms could probably do with an update, but at the price we could not complain ! What stands out for me the most is the outstanding level of service. I have never received service so good! Smiling, happy attendants wherever you went in the building. we ate in the Japanese Smorgasboard one night which was ample and authentic. We also had breakfast each morning in the restaurant - a veritable feast available. The hotel is located within easy walking distance of he PWTC MTR station which gives you great access for he city. The is also a quite good shopping centre attached with plenty of Western food options. Overall a fantastic experience and we will definitely stay there again.
