Just came back from staying at this hotel last friday, nov 15 for 3 days. 1st impression was the staffs was friendly and polite which gives us a very comfortable feeling. As we went there too early so the room is not ready so we just check in first then put our bags at the counter then went shopping.
After shopping at klcc, we went back to our hotel and the room of course was ready. Again greeted by the friendly staffs. Once I step in the garden to my room, was surprised to see the homely style garden with chairs & tables for guests to relax..very nice...green and comfort.
so shameful to say, I don't know how to use the hotel lift at moment I want to go in...very different from other lift..glass see thru type..we really laugh. but after that we know how to use already. Our room is at 4th floor so once the lift was up...wow...looking down at the garden...nice view.
Our room was ok..not so big with a king or queen size bed..can sleep 3 adults (normal body size) or 2 adults & 2 children. The room was simple and clean. Our room have no wall pic drawing as we saw in our friend room. My friend's room was smaller...i think their bed shd be queen size and mine should be king size as bigger than them. My sis told me ours is deluxe room and our room space is much bigger than my friend's room.
No breakfast provided but you can buy instant noddles, sandwiches, some cakes, drinks or beverages at the lobby while enjoying sitting at the garden.
There are lots of chinese restaurant nearby V garden. The price is not expensive too if compare to my hometown. We went to Yap Choon for our dinner..order 2 vegs (smaller size), 1 claypot taufoo, rice, a pot of tea and 1 steam africa fish..all this just costed us RM59, the food is enough for 4 pax.
We found that the taxi driver was not so familiar with V garden hotel so we told them PGRM at jln pudu hulu and they know it. PGRM is just oppsite the V hotel. But some taxi driver will asked us, u want to stop at PGRM or it hotel, MH hotel. So we say it building, PGRM as MH hotel is at the other side but still very near...walking distance.
V garden hotel have a sign board with light just the word of H O T E L..maybe they should add a V G HOTEL then easily for the taxi driver to look for it. But after all, not hard to find it.
They are LRT nearby...just have to cross the big road to get there...if not mistaken it was Maluri station. We just use once to Ampang Station which costed us RM8 per person then later we use taxi all the time. Taxi fare is quite expensive..depend on which area and never come back on after working time around 4.30pm to 6 or 7pm...traffic jam and the meter keep going up and up. We took a taxi to Sungai Wang and not so traffic and it costed us RM8.20, actually we want go to Kenanga wholesale city but the taxi uncle doesn't want bring us there as it was 6pm, he says traffic jam there, going in no problem but later when he want to come out...it will be very jam for him. So we choose to go to Sungai Wang for shopping. When we want go back to hotel at the Times Square, the taxi driver don't use meter, just a price of RM20..we ask why so expensive, as coming here just around RM9, he says cause they need to come back to Times Square again so we need to pay for their return way. But ok for 4 pax to share the fare after feeling tired shopping.
Before end sharing...there is a 24 hours 7-eleven at the PGRM building. And some shops at the right hand side once walked out from V garden hotel. Quite difficult to get taxi in front of V garden hotel. So we walk to the shops area there to catch taxi.
The only negative comment I have is you can hear the noise of people talking outside and walking sound when they go back to their room. But still acceptable to me. My friends chit chatting wake me up but later still can sleep well. So no problem for us.
Will stay at this hotel again. Clean, comfortable bed and room and friendly, welcoming staffs are the main to attract us. Ohya.,,the security is good too, you have to press the bell for the staff to open before entering the hotel.
