Great hotel. Close to all amenities. The staff were very accommodating !

Stayed here on a Saturday night, very friendly staff, asked for a seafood restaurant recommendation and they knew just where to go. Room was excellent, location very good. Just an excellent attitude.

Building appears new-ish. Professional front staff, clean main areas...pretty much the cookie cutter appearance for Express. GREAT internet connection. Wish water pressure was stronger but just my preference. Compared to nearby Hampton Inn, this hotel located in a better area closer to major restaurants (not just fast food), so pretty convenient. Didnt suffer hearing alot of road noise in room.

We spent three days at this hotel & were very pleased.

First, let me recommend that when you make your reservations, do NOT use the 800 number, the Holiday Inn Express Reservation Desk...call the hotel directly or use some other source. Unfortunately, I did call the 800 number & they booked us a room that this hotel did not even have! I was told we would have a smoking suite, King Bed and a sofa bed (for our teenaged daughter). After driving 10 hours, almost half of it in a blizzard, we arrived at 3:30am...check-in was nice & quick. But...when we opened the door to our room...1 King Bed, no sofa bed for our daughter, and a jacuzzi in the corner of the room !We were spending 3 nights there, and we needed the bigger room. I went to the desk & told the girl the problem & she was very apologetic, even though it was not the hotel's fault. From what I understand, we were not the first guests who have had problems booking rooms thru the 800 number. She said the type of room they booked us, their hotel did not even have. We had to spend the night in that room because no other rooms were available. She brought us a roll-a-way bed for our daughter & said there would be an Executive Suite available the next day. They even made sure the room was ready as early as possible the next day. Also "adjusted" the price for our inconvenience.

The rooms were very clean. The bed, to us, was a little hard; daughter said sofa bed was comfy. Would have preferred it if the sink/mirror area were outside of the shower/toilet area, especially since there was no exhaust fan. Just makes it easier when 3 people are trying to get ready when the sink/mirror is separate from the bathroom. Room had nice TV, alot of stations, A/C/Heater worked well, quiet-heard no outside noises, free wireless internet, nice closet w/full-length mirror, microwave, fridge, coffee pot, iron, blow-dryer, & even some cupboard space. Although I had booked a smoking room, I was told none of the suites were smoking and that they only had 3 smoking rooms. They are going to a completely non-smoking hotel soon.

Free hot breakfast was also good...scrambled eggs, cheese omelets, bacon, sausage, toast, bagels, cereal, grits, oats, juice, milk, yogurt, coffee, tea, cinnamon rolls.

In a good location; close to shopping and restaurants.

I would highly recommend this hotel. The staff makes it...they were all so friendly & very accomodating. Even though we had problems with our reservations, it did not leave a "bad taste in my mouth" because of how they resolved it quickly. However, I will NEVER use the 800 Reservation Desk number again.
