A great little hotel perched on a hill below the Glover Gardens in the colonial section of Nagasaki. Our 4th floor room overlooked the harbor, was large and clean. Bath very clean with hair dryer, tub/shower, bidet and window opening to the bedroom and facing the harbor. Rooms below the 4th floor have balconies. Restaurant in hotel is on the expensive side, but the Majestic is close to a lot of places to eat, including the ANA and the harbor. The large ANA hotel is nearby, but we would never trade the quiet charm and atmosphere of the Majestic for a large one.
Taxi cabs are about 700 yen ($7) to almost anywhere from the Majestic, including the Peace Memorial, the JR Station and quaint shopping districts Convenience store within walking and lots of little shops below Glover Gardens open until 5pm.
