Good service, location!
I will still choose this hotel if going to Osaka again.

Unbeatable location, as per other reviews below. Rooms are pretty small but apparently that is pretty common anyway. Bathrooms are large on the other hand.

The hotel generally is pretty stylish and has a cool glass cornered lift so that you get a great view of the busy street outside as you go up the floors.

The staff are generally pretty helpful, and there is a reasonably priced internet point in the lobby.

Pricing was very competitive for the area in particular.

I stayed at the Cross Hotel for 6 nights in November 2011. I will never stay anywhere else in Osaka. First of all, the hotel is in an amazing location, literally 2 short blocks from Dotonbori Bridge where everyone views the Glico Running Man and all the other neon signage. All the best shopping lanes and food spots are nearby. The giant crab restaurant, the takoyaki balls being made outside as you watch, everything you came to Osaka for is within EASY walking distance.

The hotel is 2 blocks north of Exit 14 at Namba subway station, Exit 14 is the most northerly exit. Warning - the hotel is in a building with a lot of other businesses and the hotel sign is not that prominent. I walked right by it the first time before I figured out where it was (using my iPhone).

The room was perfect. Sure, it was somewhat small, but having traveled in Japan quite a bit that didn't bother me. However, the bathroom is quite large for a hotel in Japan. A nice large bathtub plus a Japanese-style area to sit down and "wash your body". Also the desk area was large which I really liked. And no noise at all, it was very quiet even with all the action down below.

I ate the buffet breakfast all 6 days, and it had a good assortment of Western and Japanese foods. Many items changed daily. One morning they offered Takoyaki! I especially liked the fish, it was very good.

I give the Cross Hotel a high recommendation. The location can't be better, and it's a very nice place too!

Stayed at Cross hotel in Osaka for 2 nights last week. The hotel is just off the main shopping street in Nanba and it’s about 10 mins walk from Nanba station. There are many shops, restaurants and bars in the area.

We were initially given a very dirty room. Tea stains were everywhere, e.g. sofas & walls. There were even splats of some kind of source on the ceiling as if someone had food fight in the room. I complained to the reception and got upgraded to a better room immediately. The hotel staff apologised to us again when we checked out.

The shower is Japanese style with a small stool for you to sit down to wash your body first then jump into the hot bath for relaxation. It’s common in Japan to have a warm toilet seat on the cold days but we couldn’t find any button to warm up the seat. The hotel offers good breakfast but not many choices though.

Cross hotel is a good choice if you want to stay somewhere convenient for shopping and eating.
