When we first arrived at the hotel, we were a little shocked at the entrance. Yes, we knew it was a 2-star hotel, but it was priced almost the same as our 4-star Tokyo hotel, so we were expecting a little better than what we encountered. We were traveling with two small children and didn't feel comfortable staying with them there. We had arrived late though, so we spent the night and considered checking out the following morning.
On second thought though, the staff was extremely friendly and the room felt very clean. The triple room was quite big. It was very close to the Aquarium and the subway line. We ended up staying for the second night we had booked.
It would have put us in more ease to know there was a sturdier lock on our door, but at the end we were overcome by the friendliness of the family who owned it. Wouldn't pay that much money for the room though and I'm sure that the locals who were staying there as it was a "business" hotel paid a fraction of the price...
