“Nice hotel, but very bad locaton”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 26 December 2011

The hotel's location is rather bad. If you want to get back from Umeda/Osaka station to the hotel, you need to take the hotel shuttle. As it is winter now, it is very cold and windy when queuing for the bus. There is only a shopping mall near the hotel. Again, you need to walk there for 5 minutes. It is no big deal for sunny day but horrible in winter times.

Room Tip: All rooms look good

“Perfect, except for location”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 5 December 2011

Excellent staff and wonderful food.

Regency club was well worth it. Room was 40sqm but huge bathroom takes up about 1/3 of that. Everything was very clean and in good condition. Beds were only two twins though, and not as good as the Westin's Heavenly Bed. Room service came immediately each time we called for something.

Very nice buffet breakfast.

Most staff speak decent English, some are very fluent.

Great health club, with one or two classes a day (call to confirm schedule). However they charge 3,000 per person unless you are a Hyatt member with status.

This is as good as the Osaka Ritz, with the only drawback being location. If you want to be in Southern Osaka, then it is OK, but for travel to Umeda, Kobe, or Kyoto you would want to be in a more central location.

Room Tip: Join Hyatt Gold club.

“Location isn't that bad afterall”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 2 November 2011

Contrary to most people saying that this hotel is too far from the city, I thought it was of a decent location. It is conveniently located near the Expo (Intex), several subway stations and is reasonably near (a few subway stations away) the Kaiyukan (Aquarium). The hotel's provision of frequent (and very timely!) shuttle buses also helps to alleviate the distance issue.

Moreover, the location provides a different aspect and view of Osaka. I guess its considered more of the suburbs, making it a quieter place to stay. The nights are peaceful and very enjoyable, unlike the city. Since most of us travellers will end up visiting the city anyway, this hotel would give us a good opportunity to visit the other parts of Osaka.

About the room, it's comfortable, but not fantastic. Free wifi was a bonus, but they did not even provide daily complimentary water. The makeup service everyday provided us with clean linen and towels, but there were also times that the staff left out corners of the room uncleaned too. Breakfast was a good spread as well.

Overall, a good hotel to stay at, if you are not a city-person who only wants the Osaka city at your doorstep.

“One of nice hotels”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 4 September 2011

If you visit there by car, I recommend this hotel. They have shuttle bus to take you to near the station every 15 minutes. If you don't want to wait shuttle bus, you can walk to another station. On the way to the station you can stop at many shops include some restaurants.
We stayed at reagency club room. The service is good though, there are a few bad points. The room doesnt enough bath towels. Even turndown service, they should put 4 bath towels in the room. I never saw only 2. About TV, they dont have asian tv program, I mean no Chinese, no Korean, no Taiwanese. Just a few English tv programs.
Anyway we had a good time there so we will come back there sometime soon.

“nice hotel, but too far from the city”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 27 July 2011

I only spent one night at the hotel. I arrived quite late at night and was surprised to find it completely deserted. I guess this is because the hotel is so far from Osaka city proper. That's also the reason why i wouldn't like to stay here again. It's just too far from the city!

The hotel was very comfortable. The food was good and the room clean, although a bit small.
