I had an almost perfect stay. Great location, right on top of Takashimaya. No need to lug your luggage to the airport, the train going to Kansai Airport is just two flight of escalators away. Super comfortable Swiss Advantage Room with nespresso machine and a view to kill. Club lounge served delicious snacks all day. Loved the Japanese bath. Most importantly, the service staff were so wonderful. When I fell sick, the concierge staff made the effort to find an English speaking doctor and gave us detailed instructions how to get to the clinic. Really appreciated the care and concern. Swissotel must be my first choose for next time.

Spent a night at the hotel as I need to take a mid morning flight at Kansai Airport and didn't want to stay at hotels near the airport since there isn't much to do in Izumisano or Rinku Town. Swissotel Nankai is a good alternative since it sits directly on top of Nanba Station and the Rapid trains takes 35 minutes to reach Kansai Airport.
Hotel is well appointed with modern and spacious rooms (by Japan standards). The big plus is that you get to the ticket turnstile of the train station by going down just two set of escalator. Shopping is everywhere and Dotombori is just 15 minutes walk through a covered walkway with plenty of restaurants and shopping along the way.
This will be the hotel of my choice the next time I'm in Osaka.

My wife and I decided to spend my birthday in Osaka and a golf buddy recommended the Swissotel Osaka. He said the Rapid train express from Kansai Airport stopped directly underneath the hotel. He said the location was perfect. He said the food was great. He said the shopping was even better with branded stores in Takashimaya to budget shops in Namba Mall. He said the hotel staff was always at his service...always trying to please.

He was absolutely right....spot on! Everything...I mean everything was great! My wife and I travel about 6 times a year...Asia to the USA and Europe. This is one trip we want to remember. We even got a day-tour to Kyoto thru the Concierge...all hassle free.

Oh, and did I mention the F&B Director found out it was my birthday and he sent us a delicious cake with fresh Japanese strawberries. This was the icing on the proverbial cake.

I dont normally write reviews. But this is one time I'd like to share with fellow travellers our wonderful experience at Swissotel Osaka. Special thanks to Kevin Furrer, the ever- attending F&B Director. We're already planning our return with our children.
