“Great location, spacious apartment”

Lovely place to stay, we were on 10th floor. Quiet, helpful staff, handy to major train station. Four stops on from Shin station, not far. Lots of food places handy, and Family Mart (like 7-11). Breakfast extremely basic, but that is a good thing .... You need a light start to keep room for all the great choices you have available to you later! We sometimes bought takeaway's back, nice to relax.

Room Tip: High floors a better I guess.

“Fantastic hotel!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 7 February 2012

This was the first hotel we stayed in on our 2 week trip to Japan and I am so glad we booked it! The room was HUGE by Japan standards and it had absolutely everything we needed. Including a massive bed, TV with english channels, washer/dryer, crokery/cutlery and a short walk to many attractions. Staff were so friendly and helpful, breakfast isn't anything fancy but more than enough to start the day with. The hotel was such good value for money. It is literally across the road from the Namba station and the Namba park shopping precint. Approx. $30 taxi rise to Shin-Osaka station and about a $20 taxi to Osaka Castle, you could of caught the bus/subway but it was easier with bags for us to catch taxi's.

The surrounding area in Namba and Dotonbori is only a 5-10 minute walk away, there are so many shops/places to eat and things to see in that area so we spent nearly all our time there. I would highly recommend the Ramen place across the road and having a look around in the basement level (food court) of Takashimaya Department Store (5 minute walk away). Make sure you visit the canal at night with all the neon signs in full display.

Catch the train from the airport straight to Namba - it noly takes half an hour or so!

Stayed 3 nights in October 2011.

“Perfect stay”

My husband and I along with our 22 month old son stayed at this hotel for 2 days. The room and bathroom are spacious and their washing machines and kitchen sink was perfect for us to use for all the cleaning at the end of our trip. It is not a typical japan hotel, the layout and furniture are north american style with ikea style furniture ( with better quality). The location is great, next to a huge shopping mall and the subway, and the staff were so helpful they helped us bring the luggage to the mall! The free breakfast is limited but sufficient considering the price. We would love to go back again soon.

“Space Sweet Space”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 20 January 2012

This is a serviced apartment rather than a hotel as such. So you don't get daily linen changes.
( though you do have your towels changed every day.) Fitments and fixtures are not luxurious either. Nice enough though.

What you do get though is space, uncommon in much of Asia. We stayed with our 17 y.o. son in two 1 bedroom apts. Each two rooms plus bathroom. Enough space so you can get out of each other's faces if you need to. For instance if one person is reading and the other is veging out withTV. There is free broadband and, we discovered, wifi.

There are 2 TV's but one is only useful if you speak Japanese. There is also a small stereo, a DVD player, a decent fridge, stove, microwave, iron/board, and washing machine. Comprehensive operational instructions were provided for appliances. Toilet is Japanese, with warm seat etc. You also get a large walk -in wardrobe, with proper hangers. (Well about 2m. by 2m.) Beds are typically Asian 'firm' but plenty of pillows. Traffic noise is muted despite a very close 2 lane elevated road.

Hotel staff are very helpful with directions and language problems, and their English is fine. Breakfast (Western) can be had for Y480 in the Italian restaurant on the 1st floor. Not huge for a 17 y.o. but there are many cheap dining options within 50 m.

Location could hardly be better, close to shopping and dining and right next to a major transport hub.Very easy to reach using the 'Rapit' train from KIX. Hotel provides comprehensive instructions on how to find it.... i.e 'go 18 m......'

If you want to trade luxury for space this is an excellent place to stay.

A few niggles - only niggles really.
Breakfast is not big. Adequqte only.
Breakfast needs a knife - not just a butter spreader.
Tea coffee sugar sachets were not replaced for the week we were there.

This aside we all agreed we' choose this hotel if we were ever to come back to Osaka.

Room Tip: Twin rooms have a larger wardrobe than doubles.

“Great location & hotel”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 19 January 2012

My Bf and I stayed here in December 2011 and the experience was great! We had an apartment style room complete with a washing machine ( Which I wanted to badly try out but didn't) kitchen with a stove, microwave and refrigerator. plus pots and pans, dishes, utensils ( including chopsticks) and dishwashing soap! Theres two plasma tvs - one in the living room and the other in the bedroom ( yes the rooms are separated by a sliding door. a ipod dock and a small walk-in closet with a safe. There's also an iron board and iron. Hanging in the closet is a complimentary clothes freshener spray which is handy because a lot of the places in Japan are smoking areas. ( even the mcdonalds)

The location is also great, walking distance to Dotonbori and Shinsaibashi shopping area, namba Station, lots of restaurants & convenient stores.

the best plus is Ippudo Ramen right across the hotel! One of the best ramen I have ever tasted! Must try!

The next time I have a chance to visit Osaka, I will surely stay here again!!
