We are a family of five. We booked this hotel at the last minute directly through their website because they offered good price. So I was a bit worried that we may get what we paid for.
Well it turned out that this hotel is not bad at all. The rooms are clean and the hotel staff are very helpful. I believe that this hotel caters for local tourist and yet a number of their staff can answer you in English.
We booked 2 twin rooms. The room is not big but it is what you expect in a hotel room in Japan. We been to Travelodge in Richmond, BC Canada and I can say that size of their twin room is about the same.
The room offers basic amenities like electric pot. mini refrigerator, hair dryer, and TV but with no English channels.
The hotel is conveniently located at the Hankyu-Omiya station. It is only 2 stations away from Karamachi/Gion where you can do a lot of shopping. You can also go to Universal Studio from here by first going to Umeda and then the JR line to Universal city.
Around the hotel you can find a lot of eateries and convenient stores. Just across the street is McDonald and next to it is a Japanese hamburger fast food. Along the street where the hotel sits is a drug store and if you walk a bit further you will find a grocery store and a lot of local eateries.
If you are looking for a fancy hotel then this is not a place for you. However, if you are just looking for a place to rest and sleep after a long day of sight seeing then this place is worth staying if get a good price for it.
