We wanted to take a trip to Kobe for my husband's birthday and because we are familiar with travel within Japan, we called to make the reservation to avoid any problems once we arrived. The hotel reservation desk had a very nice woman that spoke great English take our reservation. They did not have a single room that could accommodate our family of five children, so our only option was to take two (non adjoining rooms) which is not the best option for a family of young children. The cost for the two rooms was 46,000 yen (about $590 US dollars). While it was expensive, we decided to make the reservation because it was a special occasion. In general, the hotel is nice but if you are traveling with children, I would not recommend this hotel. While making the reservation, I asked if they had a pool and they said they did but did not advise of the fee of 1,050 yen per person (4 and under are free) to use it. I sent the following link to their website to the front desk at the hotel but they didn't seem to care that the information was not clear or correct and no apology was offered. While this link states that there is a locker fee, it does not state that it is per person. I hope this is helpful to family travelers looking to enjoy Japan. There are many places in this great country that will happily accommodate your family for less cost and with great hospitality.
