- Maiko Hotel Kobe

We had a family reunion and dinner - expensive but very nice place to stay!!!
On the second leg of my business trip I was fortunate enough to stay in this hotel.
I must say this is probably one of the best experiences I have had in a Japanese hotel.
The staff are extremely friendly and will bend over backward to help you. The rooms are very spacious, I stayed in a double room. The views are amazing!. You can view Akashi bridge by night if you are lucky enough to get a room on that side of the hotel.
Located in the extremely large lobby are several shops, a restraunt, business facilities and ofcourse the front desk. I was bowled over at the sheer size of the lobby.
Within the room you are provided with internet access but you have to rent the LAN cable for a fee so make sure you bring your own cable if you dont want to pay this. You are also provided with a very nice TV and theater set up. The beds are large and comfortable. The bathing facilities are also very spacious with all the convienient items you would expect to find in a luxury hotel.
The only down point I would say is the hotel's location. There is a fair walk to the nearest station (maiko station) so expect to take a taxi for 660 yen if you are arriving by train.
This is probably the best hotel I have stayed in, in Japan and that is saying something.
