The rooms are fairly clean and well kept and there is a convieniently located "Seattles Best Coffee" in the lobby area. Sannomiya station is very close by and internet access is free in all rooms via a LAN cable (there is no wireless). There are several 24 hour convienience stores nearby. If you plan on a long stay here (such as my 1 month business trip) then you can expect to need to do laundry at least once. The prices are extortionate for laundry within the hotel so your best bet is a "Coin Laundry". The nearest coin laundry from the hotel is in Kobe. This is a good 30 minuet walk from the hotel.
There are rooms which have no view at all from the window. Make sure you get a room on the 14th floor if you want a good view. Floors 1 thru 7 are smoking rooms 8 Thru 14 are non-smoking.
Overall the staff are friendly. There is one member of staff who speaks English fluently but this person tends to be a little moody at times and only works during the day. The rest of the staff only speak Japanese so if you are going to stay here; make sure you know at least the basics of the Japanese language.
The bathing facilities are good. You are provided with an all in one shampoo and conditioner, A body soap, razor blade and shaving cream and a comb. Everything you would expect from a business hotel.
The TV in the room is an old CRT TV, 21 inches with a "Room Theater" system. The theater provides movies, music and adult entertainment for 1000 yen per night. However the picture quality and sound leave a lot to be desired.
The single rooms are very small however the double rooms are reasonable in size. I found that using my laptop in a single room was a little uncomfortable as the chair does not go back far enough from the desk to avoid back and neck strain.
This is certainly not a tourist hotel. It is a business hotel. However, everything touristy is within very convienient walking distance. Very close by the hotel, if you get bored, is a bowling alley and video game arcade which is open until 5am. If you want to eat good food then you are going to have to walk to the station area (10 mins by foot). There are many good restraunts around the stations east exit but you can expect to pay a little more than usual. 30 mins walk from the hotel is motomachi, here you will find a much wider variety of shops and food.
Overall I am happy with the hotel for it's business convienience but I would not highly reccomend it for tourists or familys with children.
