This hotel is located close to our office in Kobe and is simple but functional. It is a short walk to Sannomiya station which is also where the limo bus from Osaka airport arrives. There are also plenty of stores and restaurants in the area.

The rooms are small and I'm glad I'm not tall otherwise you would not be able to stand in the bathroom.

The bed is ok and don't forget to ask for extra pillows at the front desk. Pillows in Japan seem to be small and flat. Not great if you are a side sleeper.

The wired internet in the room is high speed and that means you can work easily.

The breakfast is Japanese and if your not a fan go eat breakfast somewhere else. They do have croissants and bread but they are not great. The coffee is fine but walking to Starbucks or Seattle Coffee means you can get better coffee and something to eat.

You can't beat the price of the hotel though so if you need to stay somewhere in Kobe this hotel is fine.

This hotel is an easy walk from Sannomiya station and is in a reasonable quiet location.
Reception area is spacious and staff were friendly and efficient. They are not however too fluent with english. Enough to get you checked in and answer easy queries, but that's about it. I stayed in a single room which was small by european stanards, but matches normal japanese business standards.

The bed was clean and comfy, there was a good size desk with a good leather swivel chair, along with a small casual table and single chair. Flat screen TV only has japanese channels, not even cnn news. Free broadband connection with a lan cable in the room was good and easy to use.

Small but clean bathroom, with the normal japanese 'half' size bath and small shower attachment.

Rooms were not entirely sound proof but noise intrusion was minimal and it was a comfortable, albeit small place to spend my 3 nights in Kobe. There is a small fridge in the room, which can be stocked with items from the 24hr convenience store across the road.

There is no bar within the hotel, but in sannomiya there are plenty of bars and restuarants very close by so it wasn't much of an inconvenience.

A good cheaper alternative to the 4 or 5 star hotels in the area that charge double the price or more.

The room is quite small (same as the Japanese Hotel), however very clean and comfortable. You can have your private time without disturbing ... Furthermore it's not far from the Sannomiya area (Shopping center, street, station) ....
Let this hotel be the one choice for your destination

My wife and I stayed 4 nights in a Deluxe Twin room. While the room was modern and clean, we were very disappointed with it's size. There was hardly any space around the twin beds which were pushed together. We are familiar with Japan's room size, but this hotel was noticeably sub-par. Also, there were very limited channels available without paying extra for a full selection. The bathroom was modular plastic like an RV. Management seems to focus on nickel and diming guests here. Our travel agent said this was a 4-star property. It was more like a new 2-star hotel similar to a Toyoko Inn. The convenient location did not make up for it's shortcomings. It was poor value when compared to other hotels in the Kobe. This is strictly a Japanese businessman's hotel IMHO.
