Three of us spent a night here, in 2 rooms. The rooms were a little nicer than the usual Japanese business hotel and we all felt that it was good value. There was an espresso machine in the room 2 of us had, and our friend was given a room on the Ladies' Floor which had a steam facial machine in place of the espresso machine. Both rooms were on non-smoking floors, as we had requested when we made the reservation. Our room had a nice large desk facing the window, and the internet connection for our computer was free. Our friend was happy to be able to rent a computer from the front desk. There are at least 3 convenience stores right outside the hotel, in different directions. It is a short, easy walk to Peace Park in one direction and the shopping/restaurant area in another direction. Breakfast was not included in our room rate, so we did not eat in the hotel, but that was no problem with so many options close at hand. One of the front desk clerks was quite helpful in assisting us to find a restaurant for dinner that met the needs of 2 vegetarians and 1 non-vegetarian who had her heart set on seafood. Overall, this hotel suited us quite well.

After paying a similar price and more for other hotels around Japan, we were pleasantly surprised by this hotel.
Although we booked a non-smoking room (with OctopusTravel.com), they did not have any when we arrived, so we were put into a smoking room. However, it was fine as we could not smell any cigarette smoke. The room was quite large (for Japan), and clean, with comfortable beds.

The hotel is in a good location, within walking distance to the dome, peace park, and the lively district of Nagarekawa, with Plenty of restaurants & bars.
To get to it, we took the #1 tram and asked the conductor to let us know when we reached the "Fukuromachi" stop. From there it's a 3min walk.

This hotel was one of the best we stayed at in Japan (for it's price range), so would stay here again if I were to return to Hiroshima.

Elegantly decorated hotel. Rooms were very clean and large by Japanese standards. Conveniently located in downtown Hiroshima and 5 minutes drive from the main tourist spots, eg. Peace memorial Park. I arrived early and they allowed me to check in early without imposing an extra charge, although they mentioned this was an exception - indicating flexibility. Good value for money as well (but it's possible that hotels in general are cheaper in Hiroshima compared to Osaka and Tokyo).

This is a very good hotel, with very nice rooms, good service and close to shops and restaurants. Unfortunately when booking with Agoda, there was no distinction between smoking and non smoking rooms, and we were allocated a smoking room. I can not sleep in smoking rooms, so we asked to be changed. There were no non-smoking rooms available for the nights we were staying, so they gave us an upgrade to a suite costing double the original room rate, at no extra cost.
Agoda needs to distinguish between smoking and non smoking rooms. If booking with Agoda again, I will be careful to add it as a special request on the booking form. It is not acceptable to be put into a smoking room. It's strange in Japan that you can still smoke on trains, in hotels and restaurants, but there are no smoking signs everywhere prohibiting smoking on the footpath!
