The hotel is situated in an excellent location, near tram stop and very close to the Peace Park... the room is also a good size although the bed was slightly small... However it was clean and has a lovely view over looking the river.

As we had a little baby with us, they upgraded the room to a bigger room to accommodate a cot (free of charge). Got to check in early as well.
Room was clean, staff was helpful.

Close to the tram stop, which we used to get around the city and also to Miyajima trip (get a Hiroden day pass or 2 day pass! very handy and cheap!)
Another tip, you can book a combination of hotel accommodation and bullet train trip through AKAI FUUSEN (Nihon Ryoko), and they are very cheap. I only paid 11300 yen for a return trip from Osaka to Hiroshima by bullet train including one night accommodation at Sunroute Hiroshima.
The price varies according to the season but worth looking into it.

We were pleasantly surprised by the view from the room we were assigned on the 9th floor. It faced North, towards the A-Bomb Memorial and offered an amazing view of it and the Peace Park along the river. The staff was very cordial and was helpful in recommending restaurants in the area.

Tye hotel Sunroute Hiroshima is in a great location close to the Peace Park. We were upgraded and the room was large by Japan standards but in need of modernisation. Bathroom was very basic. Restaurants advertised as open till 9.30pm but we were too late, last orders taken at 8pm.
Breakfast was an extra 1300 yen each but worth it for the views over the Peace Park from the 15th floor reatsaurant.
