We were pleasantly surprised by the view from the room we were assigned on the 9th floor. It faced North, towards the A-Bomb Memorial and offered an amazing view of it and the Peace Park along the river. The staff was very cordial and was helpful in recommending restaurants in the area.

Tye hotel Sunroute Hiroshima is in a great location close to the Peace Park. We were upgraded and the room was large by Japan standards but in need of modernisation. Bathroom was very basic. Restaurants advertised as open till 9.30pm but we were too late, last orders taken at 8pm.
Breakfast was an extra 1300 yen each but worth it for the views over the Peace Park from the 15th floor reatsaurant.

Stayed in a single room that was very spacious and comfortable compared to other hotels in Japan. My room had a view of the river just below and the Hiroshima atom Bomb Memorial Museum, just a stone's throw away from the hotel. This hotel is so ideally located that you do not need to ride the public transport system to go shopping, museum-hopping or even to visit the Hiroshima Castle.

The room we got here was bigger than we had elsewhere in Japan and included a mini fridge.

The hotel is right across the river from the A-bomb dome and is about a 5 minute walk.
The staff was very friendly and the room was very clean.
The public transportation in Hiroshima isn't as user friendly as the rest of Japan so your best bet of getting here is just taking a taxi. From Hiroshima station to Hotel Sunroute was about 1200 Yen.
