If you come to Hiroshima - do the following - look at the Peace museum - eat in the city center - and then later in the evening come to the hotel. Enjoy the views from the hotel the next morning - hopefully you book the Executive floor on the 18th floor - which includes continenantal breakfast (which was good) and a visit to the onsen (which was also good) and then take the fast ferry to Miyajima!

A lovely gem my wife and I keep coming back. There are few hotels like this in Japan, especially for this price. The view of the bay/ocean is stunning. Do not be disturbed by reviews of "small rooms" - these rooms are quite large and more than adequate by Japanese standards - you cannot find larger in Japan even if you try hard. The rooms include a section with traditional tatami mats, making for luxurious relaxation. The staff is friendly and accommodating to customers, especially foreigners. The bar atop the hotel is stunning at night the views of the city. Excellent waiters and food eager to please customers. I've been back twice and enjoyed the stay each time.

While the hotel is about a 15 minute taxi ride from the train station, its isolation ensures quiet surroundings of water, fishing, parks, and a beautiful nature not attainable in the city centers. It's quiet spiritual.

They have extraordinary facilities to host meetings and conferences. The hotel offers guests cultural activities with sites nearby having easy access. They have docks out back with boats that depart for the fabled and photogenic island of Miyajma which I believe is a World Heritage site -not to be missed. Peace Memorial Park is another must-see and World Heritage site - it's closer to city center and easily accessible via taxi which are always parked outside.

This hotel should rank among the top hotels in Hiroshima because of it's unique, quiet, ocean-front location, top-rate facilities, and excellent staff.

The Grand Prince Hiroshima is situated a bit on the outskirts of the city, by the harbour. It is a great hotel with amazing service and lovely restaurants. As it is located by the inland sea the views are simply breathtaking from many of the rooms, restaurants and meeting facilities. The normal rooms are on the small side but very comfortable. The big suites on the corners of the hotel are amazing, with full-windows toward the inland sea. The spa and on-sen bath are great and open early in the morning. Breakfast is tasty with many different options and impecabbly served. All the restaurants I tried served wonderful food and the bar on the topfloor was beautiful with a great ambience. A boat to Mijayima island leaves from the hotel dock, highly recommended.

My business takes me to Hiroshima, and Grand Prince Hiroshima is my home away from home. All the rooms have breath taking ocean views, staff smile and take a good care of you, and the price is very reasonable for the quality. I booked $150 for single with excellent breakfast buffet, sometimes even at $90 Sunday night.
