We (2 adults and 2 young children) went to Sapporo for Ice festival for 3 nights and stayed in a standard room. It is located just below Susukino area where many bars and restaurants are located which is very good for dinning out.
As advertised, the room was very small and had 2 single beds just enough to sleep with one child. Maybe hotel shouldn't allow 4 in this room. They did offer Deluxe room which cost a lot more.
Now good points. Our rate included breakfast for all of us and the breakfast buffet had just enough selection (some English and Japanese) of dishes although not fancy. The staff were very helpful and most spoke English. They were very helpful with finding restaurants and even made reservation at Tokyo restaurant (Sei Souka) for us.
Had shuttle bus to Ice festival every hour and even when it was full, they offered us free taxi fare which they did not have to. Very impressed.
