This is the second time I check in this Hotel ^_^ The 1st time was happened 10 years ago -- which was my honeymoon travel with my wife. This time, with my son and honey, which make an more memorable time :)
The JR Sapporo and Sapporo really changed a lot, but it still a bit not-so-easy to walk to the hotel, especially in windy, snowy winter time. Next time, I might try the one just above the JR Sapporo which might be better choice for winter travel.
Okay, back to the hotel, all things are still keep in good quality for money. The service is great -- all the front desk staff are helpful and friendly. Since it was near Xmas, the breakfast time is a bit noisy :P But the food is great (my package comes with free breakfast) -- sure you've to try their milk and potato -- which both are famous for Sapporo.
The airport bus is also a good facilities for us -- especially when we back to airport with all our luggage and gifts :P Though is is not the faster way (you should take JR for within 1 hour). The time we took the airport bus in a snowy day was 2 hours :P

The only thing I wish them to upgrade is the internet connection -- Wifi is till not available -- so my IPhone couldn't get online and a queue is formed in front of my netbook :P

Tips for booking dinner table: ask the front desk staff help to call for a table reservation!! Oh, I have to say their English is great (at least better to all others Japanese I met except the airline staff).

The staff was helpful. Good location -- near JR Sapporo station.

The Hotel is located just a couple of blocks from the main JR station & JR Tower - which is pretty much the centre of the city & close to the main attractions. A fairly tall building pretty easy to find & a good welcome from the staff (as with most Japanese we found). The room was well maintained & whilst not huge - found comfortable with good internet LAN service which was important for us. Overall not bad value & happy with our stay there.

I stayed in a single room for only one night. The room was clean and modern but they must have given me a smoking room and the smell of the furniture, curtains, etc. was that bad that it kept me up for half the night. It's disgusting that they still allow smoking in hotel rooms in Japan! The room had a massage chair which was totally unexpected and a total treat - brilliant! It was a very standard hotel experience and the price of the room didn't include breakfast. It wouldn't really be a big deal in other countries but seeing nothing opens for breakfast in Japan, you'll probably find yourself chowing down at the nearest convenience store. The location is good if you want to be close to Odori Park or JR Station but it's a 20 minute walk from the nightlife area of Susukino. If you're a business traveller and your company is paying for your room, this hotel is perfectly fine but otherwise I think you could find a much better hotel at a better price.
