From the moment we walked in, this hotel did not have a good feel to it. The stale smoky reception is located on the 6th floor but as we missed the sign in the doorway on our way in we did wonder if we were in the right place - so not a welcoming feel.
We expected the room to be small as most are in Japan and this wasn't too bad but the very drafty window right above our bed, the noisy corridors outside the room and the awful bedding made for an uncomfortable night.
Also the reception requires you to hand in your key when you go out, so there is a little bit of messing about, going to the sixth floor and waiting for the lift everytime you go out and return.
The one possitive is its location as it just an easy five minute walk from Sapporo station and a few minutes to Odori park, the main location of the Sapporo Snow Festival.
We managed here as we thankfully only stayed for one night but had we booked for the week I think we would have tried to find somewhere else. We would not stay here again given the choice.
