It is the location immediately next to the Tozai subway line (Higashi-Sapporo Station), proximity to the convention center, and low cost that are the attractions of this hotel. The subway line connects directly to the JR express train from the airport, so it is very easy and inexpensive to get to the hotel. The subway line also provides good access to the rest of the city. There is a good restarant in the hotel and a number of other restaurants nearby. There is a choice of 3 breakfasts, and your selection needs to ordered the night before. The Japanese selections are good - the Western one is, so-so. There is free lan-based internet in each room, and it is free and fast. Rooms are a reasonable size (for Japan) and the toilet/bath is very functional. If you are attending a meeting or trade show at the Convention Centre, and are not looking for luxury, I would book a room in this hotel right away, as there are few other places to stay in the area.
The front-desk staff is very friendly and helpful, and speaks enough English to get by.
