This was one of the four hotels that we stayed in during our trip to Hangzhou and Shanghai in October last year. I chose this hotel for its walking distance from the HZ train station after reading about the long waiting line for taxis. We were arriving from Shanghai in the evening.
This hotel may have been one of the glorious ones in HZ in the early days. The room has been kept under acceptable conditions. It has a generous room size, super king bed, two bottles of drinking water and the other usual amenities like shampoo, soap etc. The lightings are not sufficient for the large room so the room appears a bit dark.
The popular He Fang Jie is walkable from the hotel, but crossing the roads and traffic junctions and walking on the narrow and not so well-lit footpath is a little difficult. We should have brought a torchlight with us.
We booked through Zuji Australia which advertised rate was A$75, minus a A$20 voucher that I had from an earlier air-booking, resulting in a low net rate of A$55 for our one-night stay. We saw a few other hotels in the area which could be better but for higher cost I guess.
