This is not the normal Holiday Inn you have in mind if you have been travelling in US or Europe , A brand new structure with impressive use of marble ( as everywhere in China) designed mostly on the contemporary style unfortunately placed in CBD that is the new part of Hangzhou , where it is plenty of high condos , huge construction sites, but nothing else. Staying there it means you need to consider that:
to move you need a taxi and at least 30 mins drive
to eat , the hotel does not offer any choice, so you can only walk to the MIX a new shopping mall 700 mts away where you can satisfy your buds with various options
Roons are nice , some of them quite small but nevertheless valuable for the rate they demand. Breakfast is somehow acceptable , remember that this hotel is mainly usd by tourist groups so it can be busy at certain time
People working in hotel are all trying to their best and some of them are extremely helpful and quick reacting
They serve good espresso and they will try to satisfy your needs .
A good option , a so and so location , a nice accomodation

A new Holiday Inn located close to the river in Hangzhou (rather than near the West Lake, which is more popular). Found this hotel to be very comfortable and quiet. Good night's sleep! Staff helpful. There's a new international standard shopping mall less than 10 minutes walk away ... with a wide range of restaurants etc. Also cinema and ice-skating. I had only one issue with the hotel, that getting a taxi is a bit time consuming. Due to location, the hotel needs to call ahead. So if you have a specific appointment time, it's best to allow an extra ten minutes so the staff can call for a cab. Otherwise a very comfortable hotel. No complaints.

Booked this hotel on the Holiday Inn Website and found out that this hotel was opened on the 28th of May 2010.Decided to give it a try and intended to stay for 2 days 1 night but ended up extending our stay for 1 more night.It is kind off far from the ''city area'' where all the shopping malls are.Roughly around 5-15 mins taxi ride.It is also difficult to get a taxi in the area.Whenever we needed a taxi,we would let the doorman know and he would get to the main road and get a taxi.The rooms are great !Spick and span with a huge LCD TV.Service provided in the hotel was superior.Staffs would greet and assist you in whatever way possible.The person who was incharge of the swimming and and pool was really polite and easy to talk with.As for the internet charges,there was a slight confusion.Was told there was free internet access and used it.The next day,my friend called to confirm if there was free internet access.The lady at the front desk said that internet was chargable.I justed continue to surf the web and during check out,internet access fee was not on my bill.
Overall,this hotel is a great place to stay.
