I travel to Hangzhou quite often and really pitty the fact that I only got to know this hotel during my last visit. Whereas I normally stayed at other hotels such as the Hyatt and Shangri-La, this hotel beats them all. The hotel looks modern, spacious and luxurious! The rooms are large and comfortable, equipped with all your needs for a business or leisure stay. I would say the biggest and best rooms in Hangzhou. Especially the beds! They are excellent. I could not help snoozing in 15 minutes every morning, thats how comfy they are! Next to the rooms, the hotel offers great restaurants. A big variety of 'western' food during the breakfast and lovely assistance of many foreigner staff. Something missing?, just ask them and excellent service is provided in a pleasant warm manner. The hotel also offers a Chinese restaurant which I did not try, but I imagine certainly worth it after seeing the view over the west-lake.
I visited Thailand before but the Thai restaurant is in one word simply Amazing! The food is authentic but served in a modern atmosphere. Very relaxing and fine Thai Iced Teas! Excellent service from the Thai manager Piya and all her staff and beautiful food by their Thai chef Prawit. I also got great help and assistance from the guest relations team figuring out where to find the best places to visit in Hangzhou and surroundings. The manager Julia and her staff really walk the extra mile! They are providing a lot of extra information and it is a pleasure to just talk to them as well!

Next to this all, the hotel is situated close to the west-lake, only a 5 minute walk. The distance to the airport is good at 20 minutes. Ask the hotel to pick you up, this saved me a lot of waiting and arguing about prices and I got a very comfortable ride.

So, if by any chance you are heading for Hangzhou, make sure to book at Wyndham!

I stayed several times in Wyndham Grand Plaza Royale Hangzhou for my business trips. This modern hotel has all the services I needed and for a reasonable price. The hospitality is very good and there is also a lot of foreigner staff for services. Breakfast is really excellent and rich with a good combination of eastern and western breakfast. Very good quality beds and a nice comfortable room with a lot of extra services. The hotel is situated close to all the nice places of Hangzhou which makes it also comfortable for a day off or Holiday. When I am in Hangzhou this will be my place to stay. Danny (The Netherlands)

This is a beautiful hotel with spectacular rooms. I traveled as part of a group, so can't comment on the value since it was a part of the package price. Breakfast was spectacular -- every kind of food imaginable and the dim sum was great. Very attentive staff. All spoke English very well (helpful since my Chinese is not so good). The staff was also very helpful in sending me off shopping in the non-touristy places. Nicely located near West Lake. Nice little shops, including an antique store which was like browsing a museum and a beautiful Chinese modern dress shop. Great little gifts (and reasonable prices and reasonable quality). Each room has a balcony and is excellently laid out and well appointed. The bath tub with the special pillow was especially appreciated for aching muscles. Some of my colleagues complained about the heating systems in their rooms, but was not a problem for me. Very quiet rooms. If I travel here again, I will absolutely consider this hotel!

Excellent service from pleasant staff. Spacious and clean rooms with very good bed. Rich breakfast. Tastefull Thai restaurant. My last week visit to Wyndham Hangzhou was again an excellent stay. Got a warm welcome far away from home.
