Citadines Xian was a great place to stay, great rooms, great friendly staff.
The one drawback is that on departure if you book a taxi, they will order a 'black' cab, which gets them a greater kickback. However the charging rate on these taxis are $2.xx/km compared to normal taxis which charge 1.50. The taxi ride for what was a $130 trip became $195. Just check with the counter and make sure you book a normal, regular cab.

I was staying in a 1 Bedroom apartment for 17 nights during my business trip in Xi'an and pretty happy with the hotel services. Breakfast was included but I found the quality and variety were not that great. I ended up venturing along some market streets across the hotel for breakfast after the third day. The staff are friendly but quite often they have issue communicating in English (fortunately I always have my dictionary handy). There are plenty of eateries and restaurant around Citadines with reasonable prices. Make sure you grab the hotel business card as it will become extremely handy on the taxi (get your self a map with written Chinese if possible). There is a guest laundrette which costs you about 20 RMB/wash, or you can go for a bit pricey laundry service. The room got pretty much all the amenities you need (iron, electric kettle, cutleries, cooking pots/pans, dryer, safe) and 2 complimentary mineral water/day. Overall, a pleasant stay for me.

Our room 315 was very dirty and filthy. Windows sills full of dust, curtains not wash for years, bathroom light & fan not working,mess on the carpet , ac working only from time to time. People at the front desk not very helpful.The restaurant servicing breakfast should be close for sanitation reason, breakfast cost 35 yuan if you have to pay, but choices there are very limited.Laundry located on each floor. Cost 40 yuan for washing and drying, you can get tokens at the front desk. Hotel location is very convenient, close to drum,bell tower,Muslim street and south gate of city wall, but I am sure you can find better hotel choices in the same area. Not worth recommendation!!! But besides that Xian is a great city to visit , a must while in China.

We were here for 3 nights only. We got also only 1 breakfast coupon / room/ day, but it breakfast was so poor, we used only one coupon :), Papa John's pizza also delivers here.
Compared to the price and quality it was not bad deal, because there are many places to eat around. A staff is very friendly and helpful. Room is clear, there is a mini kitchen in the room with micro. I can recommend it.
