We had a standard suite - large bedroom, separate long with its own TV and washroom / toilette. What are we going to do with all this space? No cupboards or drawers so we laid our clothes out on the carpet. Walls are cracking behind the wallpaper and signs of water damages.

4 bottles of complimentary water, and an additional bottle of Evian water was available at Y20. Here was the main problem with this hotel. A British couple claimed that there had not been a bottle of Evian in there room (housekeeping probably forgot to put it there when preparing the room). Hotel insisted that the couple pay for this water and housekeeping lied that they had taken out the empty bottle. Chinese must save face and save Y20 in a Y4000 hotel bill and accuse their guests of dishonesty.

Generally, the hotel offer clean and spacious room. Location is beside train station and hence need to watch out for our belongings.
One word of advice, if you want a good sleep please disconnect your room telephone before go to sleep, otherwise you will receive calls asking for "extra-service". I complained to the front desk staff after the second night and still received calls at the 3rd night. The last statement from hotel staff was: this is beyond their control.

Stayed here for only 1 night, but I can assure this is a top class hotel. Our rooms were booked through are travel agent. We got a suite room, including separate seating area. Everything seemed very recent and clean. Airco functions well and bathroom was spotless. Location is good : real close to the train station and a cheap ride by taxi from the city centre.

the room was pretty ok but the carpet was little bit dirty. but overall clean.

the insulation of the hotel was not quite good as we could hear tvs from other rooms. We got calls every night about 9pm asking if we required massage. we knew we would get the call very soon as we cold hear the phone riniging from the room adjacent to us.

the reception could not speak english well and i could sense their apprehension whenever we approached the reception.

location is excellent if you are arriving via a train as it's very close to the railway station. but it's pretty far from the bell and drum tower and the moslem street where all the attractions are. but as with rest of china, the taxi fares are very cheap, so no problems here.

don't even thinking about using the hotel internet at 10 yuan / half hour as they are still using 56k modem. also, if you are after breakfast, you better wake up early as it finishes at 9am.

but even with all the negatives, i found the hotel quite pleasant to stay with the money i paid. i think i paid $80 australian dollars per night.
