I travelled with 3 others in a tour from Sydney to china for 12 days in May / June of this year. Having last been in china 20 years ago, the level of western comfort had increased dramatically, and it was nowhere as evident as in this hotel. We were up graded to a spacious 3 room suite (!!!!!), had a lovely swim in the very clean pool and enjoyed the large spread at breakfast. Would stay here again.

took my time choosing this hotel in Xian. we wanted a pool as we were traveling with a young child (under two). staff were fantastic from start to finish. during the stay our son took ill and had a very high temperature, we decided to get him to the local hospital, the staff in the hotel could not help enough, they offered the use of the hotel car at no cost and had no problem having our son run about the lobby trying to cool down. as for the rest of the hotel, good location, comfortable rooms, nice restaurants and the pool is just right. would recommend this hotel to anyone.
would love to see this level of service in some hotels in my own country. smiles all round.

I stayed at this hotel during a round trip in China in July 2010. Hotel is situated in walking distance to shopping streets so I was happy about the location. Our room was nice size with two comfortable beds, a sofa group and a desk. The internet was cabled, free with your own laptop and worked fine. Bathroom was ok. You get soap, toothbrushes and stuff lik that and that is nice. Our view was looking out in a backyard so that was not mush to look at. I just closed the curtains and bad view by by :).
Tv with several channels and I appreciate that one chinese movie channel has a lot of american movies and they only text it on chinese so we can understand the movie as it comes in its original language. AC working fine- a must in july in China. It is hot.
We had breakfast and dinner at the hotel and it was ok but not any more. During our trip in China we stayed at five different hotels and I think this hotel was not so good on food as the other hotels. But that is only my opinion and other people may think they had exellent food. Also in china you find different spices in their food from where you are so maybe that was only me that prefer Beijing food instead. during our stay in Xian we one evening visited a theathre and had an exellent meal and a wonderful show. An absolute must if you go to Xian. We also visited the terakotta army and had a nice walk on the city wall. The day we left we also visitede a pagoda in a very nice garden.
Would I stay here again ? Maybe. Good location, nice room, food- not so good but that you can find outside the hotel so I probably wood.

Excellent value for money. Room service is excellent: not only in the morning, but also in the late afternoon the room service changed the towels and prepared for the night. At the reception staff were professional and even if not everyone spoke English, it still was possible to have all the necessary assistance. The location is great: it is a few hundred meters from the Bell Tower and the Islamic quarter and many of the sights are within walking distance. The structure - despite its in-door elegance - has some flaw: the door of the closet was broken and the ceiling of the bathroom showed some cracks. Breakfast (not included in our package) is quite rich and of good quality. It 's definitely a hotel to be recommended considered the service, its location and its cost.
